Matt,

Other then being entertaining to watch, did you actually learn anything new from watching the training vid?
If so please discuss!

Trop, what I notice from your dvd, is that your warm up sets are pretty intense.  My warm ups before the rest/pause sets, are just that, warm ups.

I never really thought about it....we just kind of slowly go up in weight.
Do you stop increasing the weight at a lower percentage of your R/P weight?  Or just do less reps with the warm ups?

I start off with light weight and high reps and end my warm ups with heavier weight and low reps.  But, it's nowhere as intense as u guys.  My intensity is strictly for the rest/pause sets.

I have just begun watching the DVD and it is awesome!  The video quality it excellent and you get to see 2 very strong athletes and how they actually train.

"Justin's forehead was bleeding and he said he wasn't sure where it came from. Sometimes people will bleed while lifting very heavy weights due to increases in blood pressure"

Trop - this doesn't concern you?

Yep, great vid. I hope to overtake Steve and Justin this summer strengthwise by following the Adonis diet:)

I'm local to Justin and Steve, I'm hoping to get with Troop to go over a couple of things with my training.  He's a stand up guy and agreed right away, no questions asked, no ego...just a good guy.  As soon as we can coordinate things we'll get together and tweak my chest movements.

I kinda felt like a dork asking but he didn't hesitate to agree.  Just a stand up guy.  I know I can't hang with these guys poundage wise but it'll still be fun to just go over things, there's gotta be something "mechanical" I'm doing wrong and I just can't put my finger on it.

Both Troop and DAnte have never hesitated to help me out when I asked, both are stand up guys in my book.

You're right, natural al.

The only bad thing Justin has ever done is being a Wolverine...

c'mon now, don't go there ;D ;D ;D

I've spoken to him a few times via PM and he's always willing to help, both him and dante.  I asked DAnte a few things and he gave me somethings to try that he usually saves for guys who pay him-or at least that's what I think.  He has no ego what so ever, never asked for a dime from me.  I know I'm not gonna be a monster but I enjoy training using his methods, I'm getting pretty strong and am always progressing so it's fun.  I'm hoping to be pushing a 1000lbs legpress before to long and my smith machine incline is gonna hit 300+ for reps soon so it works.  All I gotta do is bring up some weak points and hopefully everything else will fall into place.  who knows maybe I'll make a "natural DC training video" or something someday. :D :D

"Natural DC training video"... is it that different from general DC training?

On another note, I heard about a sign that used to hang at the old gym on the Ohio State campus (Larkins Hall) that said: "the number one reason not to use steroids: steroids will shrink your buckeyes." :) I don't know when this was, just a little story some alumni told me...

the video thing was a joke....certain people here have a hard on cause I haven't posted any pics :D

I'm interested to see just how strong I'm gonna get.  I'm almost back up to the poundages I was using last year before training had to be put on the back burner so to speak.  I'm trying new movements out and pushing really hard...it should get interesting real quick.  Right now I'm about 205ish which isn't my all time high in BW but it is near the strongest and leanest I've benn in awhile.  Hoepfully if things go well with Troop I'll be able to bring my chest up to where it needs to be.
