Yeah. People are rude up in the northeast.  :(

One of my biggest reasons for leaving Richmond, Virginia was I thought people were too rude.

There is something wrong with the system, but it's not the guns... It's the way people just generally treat others in certain areas of the country.

It's disgusting at times.

Ya, ...and it starts in the home.
If you can't even parent your 11 yr. old daughter with dignity... what good are you?  ;)

Hardly, they probably never chided their 11 year olds, and never let them know that someone DOES care what they do.

You really do hate Baldwin don't you?

Let me guess... when you were a kid, your parents never spanked you, never corrected you, and never had to yell at you right?

Guess what, that would make you unlike 99.99% of children on the planet who need to be taught how to behave.

Good job linking two points that have nothing to do with each other.

There's a difference between discipline and abuse.

Let's just say I know too much about him to have much affection, let alone any respect or sympathy.

Wrong, I got spanked, yelled at, corrected, disciplined, on occassion, I even got physical punishments that could easily have had Children's Aid Society beating down the door, ...but I never had verbal abuse unleashed on me.

They have everything to do with each other. You contend the problem is in how people generally treat others.
Are you aware of how Alec Baldwin generally treats others? Are you aware of how many people have quit jobs rather than work with him?  Are you aware of what a nightmare being in his presence can be? Yes, Tu, it all boils down to how some people generally treat others, and in the case of some, it's generally like shit.  >:(

I have no problem with him disciplining, guiding, coaching, parenting his daughter. That rant was none of those.

Spend time in his presence before you comment on the appropriateness of his behaviour or try to justify it.

Yelling at a selfish stubborn pig of a child is not abuse... by your tone if someone says anything above a whisper that may be at all negative (even if appropriate) it's abuse.

You're the type of person who if they got involved with me disciplining my child, I'd put you over my knee too... You DO NOT get involved in raising other peoples children... that's crack talk.

You ask me if I know how he is? Let me ask you, "Do I care about Alec Baldwin?" Not in the slightest... I'm only saying anything relating to him because of the point about abuse... Which I don't see. I don't see any abuse.

I'm looking all over for some abuse somewhere in this entire tirade that he did, and don't get me wrong... he went off, but just because someone's pissed doesn't make what they say abusive.

Frankly, I don't care if he treats others like shit... I wouldn't put up with it... if people do, that's their problem... Here's the thing though... If you're a parent, and you treat everyone on earth like shit... you still have a responsibility to be a parent and slap the piss out of your kid if they get out of line... doesn't matter if you're an asshole or not.

There is something wrong with the system, but it's not the guns... It's the way people just generally treat others in certain areas of the country.

It's disgusting at times.

I agree on that; it isn't the guns. It is those idiots who use the guns.

In your society guns are used to get some power over to next guy, it is a tool used to oppress the weaker party, and when you give a gun to some peasant whose IQ is lower than average, you never know what happen. If we look statistics, forty-six percent of all Americans will suffer some sort of mental disorder in their lifetime, and most will not be treated until years after the disorder's onset, if ever, according to a nationwide survey. So if everyone have guns, just about half of them is a hands of mentally disturbed person. Try to find some humour about that, if you can. That statistic was in Washington Post, it wasn't made by me, so try to maintain you stability. No matter how you read it, you constitution allow even a mentally ill person to carry a gun, because there isn't no way in hell to rule them out with your health care system, and outcome from that will be more killings like in VT. Some moron would try to top those numbers for sure, and there isn't any way to prevent it.

Your constitution is written in era, when guns were needed to protection, hunting, maintain a living in wilderness. It could be just about a time to adjust that constitution to fit modern time and life. In European countries where gun ownership is controlled, there still is guns, but those are in hands of the people who know how, where and when to use them. "I want a gun" isn't good enough excuse to get one, but you have to prove you are good enough to have a gun. These systems rule out most of the mentally sick people, and abuse of guns are rare. Fore example; in Finland there is somewhat 50 gun related cases per year, most of them are drunks shooting to air in public places, some family feuds, motorcycle gangs fighting, and most of them are just threats. Still there is more than 610 000 licensed gun owners, over 2 million licensed and roughly 300 000 illegal firearms in this country. There is few thousands like me, who need a guns in their job, but others are hunters or they practise shooting as a hobby. We simply doesn't need guns for protection, because we didn't hand them over to every fool and crazy mofo at the first place, like you did.

You are in situation which allows you only suffer what is coming to you, so it is quite useless to whine every time someone have been killed by gunfire. You can't change your system even if you want to, because it is driven by forces you could not handle = overwhelming ignorance and stupidity. You have arm your ghetto kids, your emigrants, your racists, your narcs, rednecks and crooks, and every fuc*kin fool which have even one hand to hold a gun, regardless if they are insane or not, so what there is to do, but bear it? Even that "gangsta wannabe" 240 have a gun, but no brains to go with it, so you should be fuc*king scared, if something ;)

Anyone who has posted here a bit knows you're very wrong here.  I've carried for 9.5 years now.  And I've been very smart with it.  Been in a fight and several shovings (in my younger days around other younger folks) and never drew my weapon.  I've been very angry at time, as have all folks, but using my gun never came to mind - it's just a tool that you use in the right circumstances - when your life or the life of those around you is in danger.

GFinn, you don't seem like a very rational person, but everything I do is based on logic and reason.  Sorry ya don't posess the maturity and decision-making ability of a 'gangsta wannabe" American cowboy like myself.

I have seen you with your gun, and I am not impressed at all. I wonder Why? Here is a picture of  you and your friends at the shooting range, when you did leave your ear protection at home.

I'm with 240..carried concealed for about 5 years...never ever ever pulled the thing ever. I have never even considered pulling it and I get road rage just like the next guy. Conversely I was in Afghanistan for 4 days when we got side swiped by a taxi. My 9mm was buried in the drivers face within seconds..its all training and situation that dictates the use of a firearm. I'm sure 240 is mature enough to use his. The average gangbanger or a guy like in the VT shooting deal was not.

Your country has less gun related deaths? BIG FUCKING DEAL. I don't see anybody clamoring to get into Finland. Or emulating the Finnish way of life.  People are knocking on the door to get in the USA every day. I think that sums it up nicely.

I disagree with his description of 240, but other than that his comments were very valid, ...and all you have to say is "I don't see anybody clamoring to get into Finland"  Do you even know wtf Finland is? Let's think about this just a moment; every time I use words "ignorance" and "stupidity", it is like call signal just for you, and you come running and prove my words to be true. Why it is so? Do you have some kind of self confident issue, or are you just stupid?

You don't see anybody clamouring to get in to Finland and you don't know why? You really believe that those people come up to tell you about it? Why the name of god they would be willing to share their thoughts with some ignorant little boy, who knows all about wanking but nothing more than that. And who is knocking on the door to get in USA? Few million mexicans, some puerto ricans and other not so welcome emigrants. Emigrating there from the civilised world is lower every year, so glamour of your country is fading fast. Who want to come a country which is on war with some banana republic just about every year, and which demands that young emigrants go to army in USA = you move your family there and you boys end up to some useless fuc*king war against some stupid rag heads, because your government want to steal their oil, and maybe they get killed by that "friendly fire" which you guy's are famous.

Bottom line is that guns cause violence, but people are ultimately pulling the strings. To have certain freedoms, you must put up with certain things such as school shootings and other assorted gun crimes. That's the way I see it and I support the second amendment because I believe some guy who couldn't get laid and shot up a school shouldn't infringe upon the freedoms of law abiding gun owners.
