I always thought the most useless piece of equipment in the gym was the "Neck Machine".

Some people may like it though.

The numbers may be bullshit, but the workout isn't.  I like the ROM on many of the Hammer strength machines.

The Hammer back and lat machines are incredible for a full back workout. I do more Hammer then anything else.
They provide all the gain and not the joint pain. For my money it may not be as "hard core" but they work better overall.

he's saying that circuit training is gay.
the dumb exercises they make you do (half of them on the swiss-ball)
are what he's protesting.

*he's got a point, but you do need to firm up the muscles if you're planning to thin out, otherwise u get alot of flabby skin and shit.
exactly!   ;)

I don't know if it works or not. But the idea of training glutes with a weight stack seems pretty excessive to me...

Other than Craig Titus - who I can see benefiting from the ability to clench his buttocks as tightly as possible - I can't imagine anyone needing glutes stronger than those that could be produced by leg weighted kickbacks.

Training glutes with freeweights (as a secondary benefit) when doing squats or stiff legged deads seems to be enough for most.

Well, for a particular segment of the gym membership, I suppose that's just advertising the goods.  ;)

Funny you say that....I used to know the guy that made their cardio line.

At a Worlds I used to go to, they had a very old Cybex chest press.  You would get monster isolation on this little pin stacker that it would really hit the chest to the point of pain, when you tried to overdue it.  It was also good for developing triceps using a cumbered bar between the handles for a close grip that could fry anyones trys.  That thing must of been 20 years old and has to be the best machine for full chest development short of the barbell.  Better when bad shoulders make free weight benching impossible.
