Tatoos suck, they look stupid, especially on women. tramp stamp or a fucking unicorn on the shoulder, it looks like shit. Chinese symbols?? Should be forbidden to tattoo because either the tattooist can't read it or he loves to insult his customers because they'll never find out.

Got nothing against tattoos but it does seem like the entire freaking gym has them...except me.   Oh yes....girls have told me, "You'd be sooo hot with a tribal on your arm!!!!"  Well, I just never wanted one.  It appears a lot of these guys, the majority of them, probably got the tattoo for some other reason then they wanted it.  To look cool...for a gf...to rebel.  A few guys in the IFBB have a tattoo of Joe & Ben Weider's face??? hahaha  I will say, Lee Priest's Superman tattoo was awesome when he first got it.  It was original and it meant something about him.

tattoos on guys I don't mind at all since it's always been traditionally a "guy" thing.  I can't stand them on women since these days most of them do it as a fad.  Especially on a really beautiful woman...why mess with perfection?

Even if you look on a broader base, tattoos have always marked the poor man. period.
Rich people do not have tattoos. (todays rock stars and movie actors excluded, they belong to the artist world, which was poor until the movies.)

Obviously the people who say they hate tattoos aren't into the culture, so you don't know. However it is just an opinion and everyone is free to them. For those of us who do it for the art side and it isn't to "fit in", we have a different opinion. And fyi, 90% of what you people see are total shit for tattoos. And anyone who gets one done by walking in and picking something off the wall should have to get "I got something I didn't deserve" tat2d under it.

you fool European kings, Persian kings, Hawaiian chiefs, African tribe leaders, Samoan chiefs, etc. etc. all the wealthiest of there groups and guess what have tattoos. I'm not trying to say they are for everybody and i agree some people get them for the wrong reason but don't try to put down the people that do have them. the reason tattoos are thought to be a lower standard is because criminals, slaves, and bandits were tattooed. but not because they wanted to, because they were forced to. it was the most recent and carried over to modern times. and fuck it if a tattoo means I'm an outlaw badass and you walk on the other side of the street from me. so be it i wont have to ever meet you ass in real life so i guess they paid off

dude you're so wrong it's hilarious. a good tattoo will run a fair chunk of change. mine cost $500 and was only that cheap because the artist is a friend of a friend and he really wanted to do it. we'll be putting another on the other side that'll be of a similar price, and covering my back will probably run near a grand.

if you get a paul booth piece (the guy who designs what i got), you'll be spending $2000+ at the minimum if it's done by the original artist. not to mention the pain you'll go through for the damn thing. sitting a full 9+ hours in a chair getting needles jabbed into my chest/shoulder/back didn't feel too good, let me tell ya.

I got my tattoos because I researched like crazy what my Kanienkehaka (that's Mohawk) ancestors used to have, so to me, it's not just some ink under the skin but a connection with those that used to wear these, mainly warriors had them, and I take it that I'm a warrior, fighting to help my family be grounded, fighting, my mind in the gym, fighting my body to get lean again.
