As for numbers for the Colorado Pro, under 1,000 for the prejuding, close to 1,400 for the finals is what the estimates with, with comps.  About the same as the Ironman and other pro shows besides the O and the Arnold.  There were a lot more for the expo, but like we found out at the Ironman this year, a record crowd for the expo doesn't mean more ticket sales for the pro show.  Has the webcast effected the ticket sales.

That is an arguement that has been brewing around.

Great post Ron!  Promoters work hard and put their hard earned money up so that our athletes have a stage to compete on.  Without promoter, sponsor, fan and athlete we have nothing.  Instead of bad mouthing the promoters we should be lifting them up whether or not they have 5 or 5K in the stands.  At the end of the day they gave us all what we wanted; a contest!

Ron you don't have to attend a show to know how it went.  I go by what people who did attend said on here and other boards.  When a few say something you don't listen but when may people say the same thing then you listen.  I have been to several Mr. O expos and 2 Arnolds and several Cal. contest and even more Hawaii contests and a even a Florida contest.  I have spent over a quarter million dollars promoting events.  And I did everything from booking pros, to arranging airfare hotel, rental cars, venue, designing posters and marketing materials, to advertising, and EVERY single thing associated with putting on a show.  SO don't tell me to attend a show.  Most of the people on here talk out of the ass like Texasblubber.  I talk from experience.  Issac is a fucking photographer yet pretends to be in the know on everything.  He told me last year he would have nothing to do with Sean this year cause of the way he was last year.  Yet he comes on here and attacks me.  You guys are funny.  The IFBB runs your life, I am so fucking lucky cause they don't do shit to me so I say what I want.

You do need at attend a show for the experience of it. You know as well as I do that it is a greatly different experience whether you go to an expo/show or just hear about it. And yes, I agree you have promoted in the past, but you had some issues, overspending, undercoverage, lack of audience. Still, you could do a lot in advising, helping others, but you complain. Come on. Come already and have some fun! As for Isaac, yes he is a photographer, but has his own opinions, and goes to a lot of shows, and sees a lot of things. There are always problems, but we look at the positives and how to make it better, not always the negatives. I can find negatives with anything. But when I come back from an expo or show, I usually can say that it was well worth the trip out there. No one runs my life, but I see it as it is, via discussion, and what I enjoy.

AH, but the statement you initially made was that the place was over half-empty - I believe you gave a very low # estimate also.  You were sharing an attendance count, not a "tickets sold" count.  The tickets sold thing only came up later.  It was a DIVERSIONARY tactic you used to distract the reader from the fact that pics showed your low esimate was very off base.  You didn't amend your statement- you changed the subject.  Poor debating.

THose people were proven wrong by pictures taken by Legaros.  I believe photographs over your friends who were there.  Your friends gave you bad information.  You should ask them why they would mis-report.  it made you look bad.

There were a great deal of numbers shared last year, and we all saw the pics of the auditorium taken during finals.  NO ONE has put out poor information, or "rewritten history".  yet.  My comment was a smile to anyone who does flippantly post "yeah bro, the place was jammed packed last year" that he/she will be proven wrong, and that honestly, nobody likes a liar.

Granted , some guys may have hard feelings from "whatever" in years passed (only me). I don't know or really care wbout who did or said what to who, etc.

I *did* consider the source, and pointed out his obvious bias.  I asked you to verify or disprove his claim.  Instead of doing so, with tix or photographic evidence, you insulted me with a "Mr Fact Checker" label.  I just asked a question whose answer has been yet to be verified.

I like Shawn and have nothing against him.  Hes parlayed his BBing career into a lucrative endorsement deal and whether you love him or hate him, you know his name.  I hold no ill will against him. Same with the Colorado - last year I was all on his case because of the "Superstars like..." poster which showed a lineup better than the Arnold Classic, which never materialized.  He has not done that this year, and I have not said one ill word about his show this year.  I hope it does well.

Why would I take photos to prove anything to you or him on the number of people there? Why would I have ticket stubs? That's a dumb argument, obviously the people were there for the expo, it wasn't like they could just go to the bar and catch it on tv. I think it lies on the promoter's hands. Maybe that's why the IFBB should have their own shows and not promoters? Now THAT'S an argument!

No Keith, I attend events and photograph the shows so guys like you who don't attend show can have beat off material.
