It's not an instructional DVD. Dave doesn't mean for you to imitate him. That's just his style...good or bad.

You mean turning PULLDOWNS into SEATED PULLEY ROWS isn't good form?  ??? ??? ???

that is not all i focused on ass clown, it is all i mentioned.....

and i could give 2 shits if you took it off youtube

If that's all you mentioned then that's what you noticed the most and I still say you missed the point of the clip. And that's MR. Assclown to you!

Why do you guys do this?   ::)

If something is working for someone, then leave it alone...of course unless you do it the "correct" way and are bigger than he is, OH and have at least won a National Level show and on your way to PRO status or already a PRO...then please, by all means continue to ridicule.  ;)

Maybe when they see the rest of the documentary then they'll get it.

good interview Matt.

this is very true

If you could make any changes to bodybuilding so that it is more accepted by the general public, what would those changes be?

Bodybuilding will never be accepted by the general public and we need to stop pretending that theres this magical "something" we can do to make it be accepted. The average person can't relate. End of story.

What do you think about drugs in bodybuilding?

The drugs are necessary to achieve anything of any significance in this sport. Unfortunate but true. The good lord did not give us the requisite amounts of hormones to do this naturally. It's just that simple. Amounts and dosages continue to escalate, of course. As the sport progresses, so do the drugs amounts. Scary! I remember a guy at a show once telling me he was using three grams a week and that blew my mind. Now that is a low end number.

i know i know....maybe i should have eased up but mark my words, this guy will have a severe injury in the next 5 years.....then you remember to use your:

leg extensions in my opinion are the most painful exercise, i agree with you on that one....i just prefer to bend my knees so it is actually an "extension" and not and isometric exercise....and no, my quads look nothing like yours, you are definitely a beast

ok, you just impressed me by being very open minded./ i do agree that my form does almost look "isometric" on extensions. BUT...when you do that movement with the 300 lb stack...for 50 reps...you will experience a deep quad burn like you never have!!

then youll notice, on the drop set i use a greater range and slower reps. the combination is unbeatable.

Dave has been doing this for over 25 years.  I am sure he knows when he is pushing it too much and does what he can to prevent injuries.

It was awesome!

Dave, Mike, I am sending you our thoughts via pm due to the fact that "I" had a lot to say, lol.

Plus I don't wanna give any of the documentary away.  It is a must see for those who really wanna see what people put themselves through to work towards a Pro Card.  It is not a "how to" DVD.

We truly enjoyed it!  We received it Friday and watched it both Friday night and again Sunday.

Thank you for sharing your life via film during this process.

Laura ~n~ Mike

Uhh, I think Melvin Anthony's was better....cause he actually won his pro card, and looked damn awesome in the process. That truly was a "How to" DVD.

I saw this guy in Musclemag, looked good, but the lack of arms and leg detail puzzled me ???

Dave im less than 5 weeks out now

im behind schedule (obviously) u think i can pull it together in time?

im happy with everything but your midsection. i think if you try to accelerate your fat loss to come in in 5 weeks, you will be loose around the belly button. that is my only concern. the rest of you looks tight though.

i would do the show in 5 weeks, but then stay on your diet and hit another in about 12. just my 2 cents.

Unless...pulling/tearing muscles is your goal...then what's the point of this style of training?

This just gives guys/gals starting out the "wrong idea"

oh btw.....

it's obvious why this guy has not earned (nor probably ever) a Pro Card.

Really no big deal though....he seems to be enjoying what he does.

In the end...thats all that should matter
