Raising the Bar 2

It was awesome!

Dave, Mike, I am sending you our thoughts via pm due to the fact that "I" had a lot to say, lol. 

Plus I don't wanna give any of the documentary away.  It is a must see for those who really wanna see what people put themselves through to work towards a Pro Card.  It is not a "how to" DVD.

We truly enjoyed it!  We received it Friday and watched it both Friday night and again Sunday.

Thank you for sharing your life via film during this process.

I have watched it twice so far (just received it this weekend).....
 wow!........what a refreshing change from the over 100 "training DVD'S i own
it tells an actual story (imagine that!)
and..............there is no Victor El-homo in it this time (good move Mike and DAVE!)
If you wanna see something other than endless "sets and reps" this is for you
it tells the story of a competitive bodybuilder (Dave) getting ready for the biggest contest of his life
(that ever elusive Pro-Card)
all the prep and details of pre-contest life in all it's glory are showcased here
low carb days/etc ....all the while it's peppered with Dave's unique humor and wit
Dave also trains/get's ready a former nemesis (Lance) and this is very interesting/informative
Dave's dedication/drive and focus are intense and insane (in the opening sequence when Dave had to rush home from the supermarket in 7 mins for his next meal or he would in his words (shrink!) i laughed out loud.
This is such an inside look into our world (bodybuilding) it's scary
(Laura was laughing the whole time saying i was just like Dave in the things i said and did)
drama excitement .............everything that goes into preparing for a show is there
even someone who isn't into bodybuilding would be fascinated by this (move?) documentary,

this has never been done before...an inside look into the world of bodybuilding thru a bodybuilders eyes
This is a "video diary" as one man get's ready his assault to the pro-ranks of bodybuilding
the highs and lows ups and downs.....family, friends (the death of someone i knew)
not for one millisecond is it boring....(it's actually playing on the TV as i type this and i keep glancing towards the TV to watch it!)
you gotta see it is all ill say!

Thanks Mike and Laura,

I knew you guys would "get it". I knew you'd understand what went into the making of this thing. This is a very personal documentary, for all involved, and it's great to hear that you appreciated the honesty that everyone brought to the project.

I'll be posting a teaser on YouTube shortly.

MIKE  your narrative voice was perfect for this film!............im glad you focused just on Dave's story this time
(the only problem i had with RTB1 was that went it to many directions,victor,Adam etc)

i hate to admit it but Dave has charisma

Dave is a good subject for a videographer, I'm very lucky in that respect. I also must say that I took your advice very seriously the last time and attempted to focus this one more on him. Thanks again for your input.

P.S. I'm trying to get voice-over work so if anybody knows someone who needs a narrator for a project, I'm good and I'm cheap!

It's not an instructional DVD. Dave doesn't mean for you to imitate him. That's just his style...good or bad.
