Sly has always had an extremely gaunt appearance and basically no fat in the cheek area of his face. Yes, Sly has had a face lift or two in his time, but I have also wondered what has gone wrong with his facial appearance. Even though he is lean he has a bloated look to the facial area. I also noticed this with Terry Garr who was diagnosed with MS. I immediately could tell that she was on some type of cortico- steroid like prednisone even before she let the public know what she had. Sly also has the typical "moon face" appearance that all longtime users of prednisone usage eventually get. Here's a couple of pics of Terri Garr. Some of you might not remember who she is, but this will give you guys an idea of what prednisone can do to your facial appearance. These two pics are about 5 years apart. Best I could come up with that shows her before MS and prednisone use. Note the similarities with the others more recent pics of Sly and the ones from about 4 years ago.

My question on that is: wouldnt he be completely atrophied by now because I've had my fair share of cortisone for bad shoulders and I never looked like that so I guess he must be on a lot of it and it's not really anabolic (lol)

No it's a lot of water retention, a friend of mine had an acute kidney infection once, so he had to take predizon (anit inflammatory medicin)for 2 weeks.
I came to visit him in the hospital, all the zits in his face were gone (puberty hit him hard) and was swollen like you wouldn't believe, gained about 20lbs of water in a week.

Actually you are incorrect. Aging is simply a Biochemical process of apoptosis which can be COMPLETELY prevented given the right technology. We are on the brink of that technology with cell therapy and gene therapy via stem cell and many other technological implementations.

Supression of the PHA-4 gene is not difficult at all.

Doing nothing and thinking it as an accepted process is ignorant and idiotic.
