Waddy, my brother, I think you need to get your meds changed....pronto!!
When you may be not so interested in eating and just smoking the chronic your brain is very concerned with having its tightly regulated supply of sugar (fuel).
When you don't eat, it assumes that you are in time of famine and sends a red alert to your adrenals to release adrenaline and cortisol. Adrenaline releases emergency energy from sugar stored in your liver and muscles, and cortisol breaks down your own muscle mass to turn it into sugar. Since excess sugar damages brain and body cells, the influx of sugar into your bloodstream triggers the secretion on insulin, which immediately stores this sugar safely away into cells as fat. As long as you don't eat, your brain will continue to send red alerts to your adrenals. This adrenaline/cortisol/insulin vicious cycle of breaking down and storing away sugar will repeat over and over. This is a blood sugar roller coaster.
