I no prude by any means, but this girl was being highlited as some kind of guest performer I am imagining. It was not a gymnastic event, there were no other "kids" there and she was dancing suggestivley and speading her legs for an adult audience. To me it does not show any type of athletic ability and it would have made me quite uncomfortable if I was there and I would have left the theater until it was over, seriously.

I was at the Pittsburgh show one year and there was a girl in the adult figure who was 15 I think. I felt the same way then. There is no way in hell I am going to judge a 15 year old girl in a skimpy suit and have her turn around so I can look at her ass. Fucking bullshit!!!!

I see all of them at the ASC every year...check it out sometime and you tell me if you see a difference. The cheerleaders are FAR worse...gyrating, hip thrusting, splits, ass shaking...(getting turned on yet?)

It's all in what you perceive...which is very suspect right about now.

No one was uncomfortable, no one left, and no one complained...it was a nice fitness routine which you appreciated her talent level for being so young...it wasn't a striptease, there was no bras pole, and no one pulled out any money...

Why not watch it first, then make a comment about it...

OK, I will and then I will give you my honest opinion, but Bob I really don't see it appropiate for 10 year olds to do this type of thing. And as far as the cheerleaders go I think that it sends a bad message too. Damn, I must be getting old, but I guess you gotta draw the line some where.

The NPC should not encourage minors to get up on stage in next to nothing and do turns so people and judges can look at their ass. Just wrong.

Good point. The getbig thread about the show was well behaved. It was full of people actually interested in the show....and it was unanimous that no one was impressed with the pre-teen portion of the show.
