Great photo. I've seen Yates at the '93 NOC, the '96 Olympia and as a 305lb guest poser up in Boston. I'm still amazed of the disparity between how he looked in person, how good in can look in photos like this, and how crappy he can look hitting the same pose in other photos. I know the whole "you had to see him in person" gets mocked, but it's absolutely true. |

Take that MM photo for example. You can see the inner thighs (no homo). Some pics when he's facing the camera, his feet are pointed more inward, and they disappear. |

Anyone who thinks that Yates had a weak chest should think again. It's evident from the picture above and the 95 prejudging video that Yates had the best developed chest of all the Olympia competitors and possiblly the best of all time. Unbelievable thickness: |

Spot on. Ray and Levrone's chests completely disappear next to Yates in the 95 prejudging video. I almost feel sorry for the other competitors when watching it. Levrone's chest looked ok in some poses but was almost non-existent when viewed from certain angles. Yates just destroyed the competition that year and any other year really.  |
