You could think of posing as a slow dance at a dance competition.

Or slow ice skating routine at an ice skating competition.

Ice Skating is a sport and they are athletes, Ice Skaters possess all of the attributes of REAL athletes.

Seriously, is that your rebuttal?

Bodybuilding is a sport and they are athletes, Bodybuilders possess all of the attributes of REAL athletes.

Yeah, see, if I have to explain myself to you then that defeats the purpose of the exercise. If you can't figure it out yourself, then I've won.

Clearly this debate is over.

I won.

Thank you. Please tip your waiter.

It is about golfers ,I hate when they call golfers athletes (Tiger Wood ,world's best paid athlete)They are not athletes ,just like bodybuilders aren't.

No, not really, when a pro can come to one of my camps (or any camp) and I put them through ONE DAY of proving that they can handle strength, agility and CONDITIONING then you've one. This debate clearly cannot be settled on this or any board. As a matter of fact, I might be able to arrange Tony Gonzalez (a real athlete) to come down just so he can get some laughs in, I'm sure he'd get a kick out of it!!

As much as I hate to admit it, yes, skating is a sport. As gay as their routines may appear, they do require athleticism.......

For starters I wanna state that I had a brief afair with professional tennis so I'm somewhat qualified to cast an opp on athletics. Can any of u numnuts explain me how a bodybuilder who benches 400 for reps, squats 5-600 lbs for reps, and deadlifts 5-600lbs is not an athelete? besides displaying their work on stage did u forget what happened in the gym?...So before u start explaining how u were juve camp record setters or highschool superstars , sit tight and take it from me...bb is as much an athletic endeavour as any other sport, sometimes even more so. Golf is more of a game like bowling, darts or pool.

1. You don't need to bench 400 for reps or squat 5-600lbs to play tennis.

2. I wasn't talking about strength I was talking about the size of a bodybuilder who might be 5'10 and 280 lbs.

3. If you referring to yourself in your post don't.......I was talking about people who are 8 times your size.

4. I had a 2 year "affair" with professional baseball..........that makes me qualified!!

haha, you guys distinguish an athlete by the fact that they do/do not do g4p? have a job? starve themselves? and/or stand in front of a few people in a thong and flex?

haha, monster logic  ::)

I think we're playing with the lesser half of the gene pool in this thread. lol.
