I have a friend who used to play for the Lions, a lineman, well over 300 pounds. Anyway, he was staying at a buddies house when I was there and he left his underwear on the bathroom floor and I guess they had shitstains all over them. When everyone was ripping on him he said something like "You guys don't know what its like to be big, it's hard to wipe good" :-X Is that true about big dudes? Do you guys shit your pants?

well bast, you are right; for the overwhelming majority of these guys...their motivation to be HUGE is based out of insecurities.

For me, my motivation to work out is not getting "big", and its not based out of insecurity; at least, not anymore...i work out for one reason= PUSSY!

yes there is no reason to be concerned with one's size relative to other people.  Once you get past that the optimum size for aesthetics (yes I think that this exists outside of comparison), performance and physical self-control is actually pretty small.

actually not right now that much but hey, I learn more and more about myself everyday.
if I am being honnest with myself, it's clear that I started bodybuilding because of insecurity. I was skinny and it was not a good sensation

now my size doesn't bother me at all, a couple of years back if someone told me " hey did you lose weight" I would get depressed

I had always worked out then as i got older and partied more i lost my athletic build and got fat  :(
I totally didnt like the way it felt to have a gut and be out of shape running up the stairs. I used to play center in field lacrosse and could run the whole game. the more i started to work out better it felt and the more enrgy i ended up having.Also i work in a labour job and wieghts make it so much easier.
