what should I use for heat?

What can I use to apply heat multiple times a day to an injury?

I just need it to get loosened up, so it doesn't need to be continuous.

what can I use other than a heating pad? Cream?

go to your local chiropractor/pt and ask them for some biofreeze, and comes in a roll on if you ask for it so it is easy to apply and your hands get worked by multiple applications throughout the day. If you can't find that either use icy-hot or one of those patches.

get a sock, fill it with rice, tie it off, microwave for 30 seconds, apply to area.
