You're opinion on Drug Free BBing and Wrestling....
« on: August 07, 2007, 10:12:10 AM »
I don't think being drug free would bring a big audience.  Just by promoting DRUG FREE would do nothing, it has to be something else they promote as well as being Drug Free to bring in the masses.  Massive, ripped, Superhuman Monsters is what sells.  People Have to want to be the person in the ring or on stage.  Yes, there are big and ripped people that are natural, but in comparison to the same person juiced, there would be no comparison.

When baseball had fewer homeruns in I believe the early 90's, they changed baseballs so more would be hit.  People want to see action.

What you think?
Most are all show no go!

Stick the fork in them both as they would be DONE. People do not pay to see pipsqueaks and runts. Bottom line.

juiced or not, the general public could care less about oiled up men in girls panties.

when will bber's realize no one cares.

I don't quite agree with that.  With all the money the weiders and other supplement co's make, as well as Vince Mcmahon, looks like more people than we think are interested in both of these sports entertainment.

In 2001 I decided I wanted to compete. I was natural at the time. Before I made my decision on what league to compete in I visited a NPC show and then a NGA (natural) show. The NPC show was full of people including fans and family and also had other events going on. I went to the NGA show and there was about 20 competitors total. And the crowd was nothing but family and friends and only 30% of the seats were full with nothing else going on. Not even supplement booths. One year later I was standing on a NPC stage. That was my opinion. As for nobody caring about bodybuilding, there is alot of money in supplement and magazine sales and not to mention all of these "body building boards". They probably wouldn't sale if you had some puny people trying to push them. So there is a demand somewhere. As for wrestling, I don't think it matters that much to a wrestling fan. To the sometimers maybe. You have to have a couple of muscle freaks but not all of them have to be. Wrestling has turned into that because they want to attract others who really don't care about the story lines to make more money. If not so many of them were not muscle heads, it would affect ratings a little but I don't believe much. TNA wrestling is improving alot and thier guys do not have the same look. Just my thoughts.

I've competed in Drug free shows w/ very few butts in the seats, but done NPC shows and had actual fans of the sport from the area come to see a show.  I saw who got the reactions from the crowd...  the freaks!  The public almost ignores the natural, praises the supernatural, but somehow expects their heros to play on the same level...  I doubt I'll ever understand it.  As for wrestling, I'm trying my hand in it and I'm in it to give the fans a show- I'll stop there.
