train like a giant!
« on: August 10, 2007, 05:49:43 AM »
i usually do 3-5 exercises per body part on a pyramid basis. A friend of mine is executing the following pattern during his training : primarily, he is performing the basic exercise ie bench press for 4sets 8reps at each increasing the weight at every set. Afterwards, he is executing the rest of exercises on a pyramid basis. Moreover, he is also following the same pattern of training during his preparation. Have anyone done that so far?Any comments?

the question is that my mate is doing the basic exercise for 4 sets max 8 reps and all the rest of the exersices like pyramid. Is it workable to u?

i see nothing wrong with it, but you need to give a few more details, like what other exersices does he do after his first set of 4? you only need a few exercises per body part for most people, and he may just have better genetics for getting big.

post up the rest of the routien and we should be able to help you out, also the routien you are on right now. you said you do pyramids and he does 4 sets of 8 then pyramids, there isnt much difference in these.  i would usually ysay mix it up a little more then just doing pyramids, but different things work for different poeple.
