Thanks much Dantelis! I try to avoid the whole Stutz::Dobbins comparison whenever possible. I don't see much similarity in our works or business model besides the fact that our subjects have more muscle than the average girl. I'm actively striving to achieve different goals from him and many other photographers. Ever notice that you've never seen my work in any magazines? There's a reason for that.

And don't worry, you won't have to wait much longer for the book. With any luck, I should be walking around the Arnold with a copy in my hands. That's a hefty 3-day workout since it weighs almost 9 lbs! I just hope I can hang onto it for the entire expo -- i'm not nearly as strong as the models you know! :-)

And thanks again.

Has your work ever been featured in any of the fitness/muscle mags?

I do expect to continue working with many competitors throughout the coming years. But my projects will be changing and therefore my terms and production values will be changing to meet my new goals. As such, I won’t be doing the quintessential, impromptu 3-hour fitness shoots in the future. Instead, I will be focusing on much larger productions that will take weeks of planning and days of shooting, costing upwards of several thousand dollars per shoot to produce. Nor will my models be limited to fitness athletes.

I look forward to the future moreso now , I hope that it will be available somehow, your work is very appealing and I can only expect to be more delighted  ;D

Spoken like a true schmoe.  ;D  Just kidding.  Let's call it a difference of opinion.

I still think that it takes more skill to take the outdoor, artistic pics with existing lighting, like John, than to do the studio controlled lighting that Dobbins does.

Let's put it this way...I would pay to see John's pics.  Can't say the same for most of Dobbin's pictures.

Here are some mind-blowing pics.  This is Claire Rohrbacker O'Connell, a LW BB, FOUR WEEKS OUT from Nationals.   :o
Claire is an AMAZING LW BB, a total inspiration to me on so many levels.
She is tiny woman, but has a physique that is larger than life.  Her conditioning is mind-boggling...this is four weeks out!!!  This woman should win the LWs at Nationals and perhaps the overall as well.  Go Claire!!!!

WOW AND RESPECT!

At the risk of getting spanked by John at the ASC this weekend  :o, I'm posting a couple pics of Meriza DeGuzman.  They are so lovely, I just can't help myself!
(I stole them from somewhere else if that helps my cause at all.  :-[)

I'll let you guys know how awesome John's book is, as I hope to get a peek at it this weekend...along with a pic or two with John.   8)

I want to play Hold'em too!!  John, it was great to meet you...sorry we couldn't hang out for longer.  The Expo sucked on Saturday.

Now what do I need to do to convince you to shoot me this year?  ;)

Talk to god and have him add in an extra 200 days in this summer... and make all of them with great weather too.

Or fix me up with two certifiable hotties!! Too bad you've got a ring on your finger!

I could have said three.

John, I've made some phone calls and the wheels are in motion....so you better start looking at your calendar.  There MUST be a couple of hours you can spare around the North Americans or Nationals.   :-*
