I'm sure you know what suspension set up he had on the car?  The guys parents are millionaires, I'm sure he cheaped out on the suspension.  Go to Sebring, you'll see Supras out there that will dust Vette and Vipers.

The bad thing about street racing is there are uncontrolled variables like puddles, potholes and a$$holes that pull out infront of you causing you to swerve.  Unless you were there it is all speculation.

True, and I will stop it at that.

The Hogans strike me as a good family unit.  Both parents seem to genuinely care about their children.

It's a TV show.

Dude, I have a IS300, so if you know about Supras you know where the engine comes from, couple with the IS300 being far lighter than supra (stock).

Yes, the Supra engine can handle 500 HP easy, with really no mods to the engine. And yes, 700 rwhp and upwards is easy, but engine longevity suffers greatly, and how many rebuilds.

Plus a (brand new) Viper is a stock track car, a 700 HP Supra is not, meaning the Viper can handle a curve (depending on the driver) whereas a 700 HP Supra cannot, it is only good in a straight line. What you fail to understand, is "What is power if there is no control", Sure a 1200 HP SUpra could probably beat Bugatti Veyron off the line, but when it get curvy, that Supra will lose. Point is a stock Viper or said Veyron has 100's of test miles on track, and tons of engineers, plus millions of dollars of research put into chassis and engine development. The 700 HP Supra does not, it does not have 700 reliable horses

That being said, obvious whatever amount of HP that the Hogan's Supra had, he couldn't control it, just like the idiot that had a Enzo and was racing his own SLR and crashed the Enzo earlier this year.

Just because one is a aficionado, doesn't mean one can drive, as one Ferrari test drive once said, "It is hard to tell the Sultan of Brunei that he can't drive"

Hey, I was just talking about making power and straightline racing with the car, who cares about curves. If I was going to race around the track I would get either a M3 CSL, GT3, or even a C6 Z06. Screw the veyron or the viper.

Plus I think the viper he was racing wasn't stock either so I doubt it could handle any curves. A lot of the vipers are making 800 to 1200rwhp as well (Hennessey????) but I'm only speculating as well.

That's what happens when you buy your kid a Supra when he's like 14 and let him hook it up into a racer by the time he learns to drive. If youv'e ever seen the show you would have seen this coming from 1000 miles away. I hope he isn't hurt to bad though.

My uncle bought my cousin a brand new Pantera when she got her license.  She was a sophomore in high school.  We all went to the Bondurant (?) course and took some kind of class in driving.  I was 16.  My uncle had just bought a new Testarossa and my mom just bought a new 280Z.  All I remember is having to stay with the instructor going around the track.

What does any of this has to do with the story above?

You just might be the most insecure 50 year old on the planet.

Who gives a schit if your uncle bought your cousin a Pantera back in the dark ages.

Rumor has it that he "hulked up" like hogan did against yokozuna at summerslam 1993 and escaped from the fiery crash.

My media distortion prediction:

Hulk Hogan is a high profile wrestler, therefore steroids of which the side effect were passed to "Nick" during conception which lead to Nick's racing slash "road-roid rage" which lead to the crash.

exactly the supra is king

Don't say that around Skyline Gt-R fans, because only Godzilla is King

And the 2008 Skyline GT-R seems to be a beast...And  Toyota has no plans to resurrect the Supra name,  it basically has no place in the Toyota Line- up, because Lexus has become the lux and performance arm of Toyota with the IS-F, LF-A, the future GS-F
