No, I'm not. The kidney failure was occurring due to amazingly high CPK levels. I adhered to the doctor's orders and quit training, supplements, "supplements", and lowered my salt and protein intake. I lost it all. I went from 270 lbs to 205 in a very short period of time. It was a horrendous ordeal to endure. My kidneys have since recovered and I'm very happy to say that they are functioning normally. NOW, the issue is, why does my body produce as much of the cpk enzyme that it does. I have only recently had a muscle biopsy to address the possibility of myocitis. I find out the results of said biopsy on wed. I have rebounded a bit and I stand at a chubby 220lbs today. I do work out maybe 3-4 days a week, but with a seriously modified style of training. I'd say its very close to DC training. Warm up sets, 1-2 working with weight I can push for at least 12 to failure. I am still above average strength and I feel OK MOST of the time, but my cpk levels are always high. I'm at a crossroads after this test result comes back. The doctors are saying that the outlook is good concerning myocitis. My dilemna is still, why the high cpk? Eventually, it will eat my kidneys away. Training is a very important part of my life and it seems it is still hurting me. I am alive right now and I appreciate every minute yet I feel like a moron because I can't completely give up something that may very well be detrimental to my health. I just love moving iron bro. I guess its still in the air.
