i don't get it. troy looks like a friggin greek statue carved out of stone in that shot. along comes this blocky pile of meat (that makes kamali look like the master of symmetry) and beats him.

 when he retires people will say he was overlooked. reminds me of the physiques we used to see in the early/mid 1990's.

I didn't see the show or pictures but I believe QT has a terrible Physique and is overated. There is something about his chest that doesn't look right.

yes, in that photo comparison...QT does not "win" you might have to display comparisons of all mandatories to successfully make your case.

hey ....so QT blows a few more judges than troy, so they'll overlook his lack of calves, bulbous chest, lack of sweep, etc etc etc....so fuck....that show is just a chimps tea party....

i mean...kamali places top ten?

Bodybuilding really was meant to be an art. it seems these judges don't even know what the golden section is. today bbing is all about wowing people with sheer mass and freaky body parts in order to make money with supplements that don't work.
i have to stop i am getting too philosophical now.

Quincy Taylor is the most overrated guy in the sport today by far.

His physique is a mess.

Pro competitors basically are judged by  8 compulsory poses during prejudging.
I think that Troy Alves's back poses not good enough ,especially his hams & glutes
(Johnnie Jackson's legs improve a lot !)

I was there QT beat Troy Alves straight up...If anything that placing was a gift to Troy. The guy from France Fred Sauvage I thought should of beat Troy. You cant be a judge by a few pics you have to be there and see whats going on. I thought JOJ edged out QT for 2nd but it was real close.

Maybe according to their judging criteria qt beat troy fair and square... and that's exactly my point!!! To me this looks like a case of mass makes up for symmetrical flaws. In my opinion, it doesn't matter how much mass qt has or will put on, his physique will never be as aesthetically pleasing as troy alves'. Thus, he should never be placed ahead of him.
