When I diet, I start smoking and chew gum , both almost non stop...I have huge cravings and I avoid sitting still for long periods of time so I won't start cheating.

it seems like you're starving yourself, and not dieting.

Well...at 3 lbs of chicken breast , 100g of oats and plenty of tomatoes and cucumbers ...I get plenty of food. It's just that the low carbs are killing me...and everyone that diets I think.

care to provide some links?

I like to make a sundae with:

-chocolate hostess 100 cal cupcakes (with 5g fiber), or a chocalte choc chip vitamuffin 80cals (with 6g fiber 50% of 10 or 12 vitamins and minerals)

-Briars no sugar added vanila ice-cream 80 cals (4g fiber),

-cocoa pebbles 100 cals (3g fiber)

Thomas' multigrain light english muffins have 100 cals and 8g fiber

There's a lot of other diet foods out there now that use fiber to provide bulk.

high GI carbs are bad?  why?  and how can you tell them apart? thanks!

high GI carbs cause short rapid release of insulin, low GI carbs have a nice slow release of insulin and are better for burning fat and gaining muscle....or something like that.

you dont want any insulin from carbs

Try using Microsort excel for calorie counting..

Do a field fore date, weights, current weight, cardio, supplements, and total calories consumsed.

It's really great, and looking the cells for 09/08/2007, I feel bad because I see 3040 calories consumed, with no weight measured or work done..

09/06/2007 looks ideal!

And I use calorieking.comm just like leafy. Actually it was he who refered me to there if I'm not mistaken.

any carbs produce some sort of insulin, it's controlling the level of output that's important....or something.

Exactly..

Sugar = massive output

Yams = slower, but maybe in the amounts.

JROD preaches the benefits of low GI carbs, I've read a bunch of stuff on it, it's pretty easy once you understand what different carbs do....

Yes, its basically like getting a sugar high before during and after working out and then using veges for the rest of the day or grains.

What's the goal of this?  Management of hunger?

Leafy,

Did you do any carb cycling at all??  Or did you just have a base carbohydrate level that you used on Training days??

Leafy found that parameters in the equations for the field associated with the particle H can be chosen in such a way that the lowest energy state of that field (empty space) is one with the field not zero. It is surprising that the field is not zero in empty space, but the result, not an obvious one, is: all particles that can interact with H gain mass from the interaction.

I hope this explanation was enough to satisfy your mind so eager of some explanation

Mainly energy and it also helps with sugar cravings. As i got closer to the show i had to drop the dextrose because it was consuming too much of a % of my daily calories. I will fix this next time i prep for a show. I learned alot from my first show.

Not so much... Carbs are something that i think should be constant for the most part but on my days off from the gym i would drastically drop carbs since i wasn't going to need them so much and i could replace them carbs with more filling foods.
