The 80's where a great time. The action genre' was at it's peak. I remember back in high school you could always look foward to going to a great action kick assed explosions, one-liners-movie. The great part about it is you had several action stars doing them. You had Sly, Schwarzenegger, Norris, ...............Ralph Machio........oooooooppp ps just kidding!!! HAHAhaha. Mel gibson's Leathal Weapon series kicked ass too.
Let's not forget Clint Eastwood and while on his way out of the action genre' he put up some pretty good movies in the 80's. You could always count on ol' Clint to put some bad guy on his back bleeding and then make some great rhetorical comment about it while walking away. Rutger Hauer was a good bad guy, check out Stallone's "NightHawks". We also had some good action TV shows.....this shit was everywhere. The A-Team, Magnum P.I, The Fall Guy, etc, etc.
I have near all of the good action movies from the 80's on dvd. I watch them every so often.
