I'm not trying to be mean in any way, I like Keith and all.... but he looks to be a Type II diabetic. He should get bloodwork done, or something.

I spend a lot of time with big folks, a lot of time. Our male contestants weigh between 325-425. I don't think Keith is that much bigger than the guys I see all the time. I'd actually have to see a standing shot, to make a good guest.

Regardless... Get that diet in check and get going on that cardio Keith.

i think he's 48 or so, my mom died when she was 45 and it's sad when people go that young, you should have another good 35 years at least past 48.

I think someone said he was 70ish. About the same age as Basile.

Thing is, my dad was just diagnosed with Type II diabetes. He finally went to the doctor and they caught it early I guess. With medication, diet control, and regular exercise as soon as I get back to the states, he should lose some of that weight.

Nowhere near Keith's size, though, that's why I'm concerned.

I wonder if we held a contest and guessed his weight if he would get on a scale and let us know. Btw, TommyWishbone, can you get him on the show? I think thats a fast way for him to lose some weight.

I'm afraid his medical issues (mainly, the recurring problem with the spider bite) would keep him off the show. Our people do make crazy changes. Dude in season III, went from 395 to 195... in 8 months.

All the contestants, girls & guys, make huge changes. There aren't any secrets that we use, just lots of cardio, and a huge modification to their previous diets. That's all it takes.

I wish you the best Keith.

Couple things I've learned, one the hard way, about getting in shape again and losing weight.

1) Don't lose the weight too quickly. Maybe a couple pounds a week. Too fast and skin will sag, requiring surgery to remove. Check with doc now and then.

2) Give tendons and ligaments a chance to catch up to muscles. Regardless of how strong I was, or how fast I was getting strength back, going too fast just gave me tendonitis that set me way back.

I also apologize for some things I said a while back. Stupid things I'd never have said to your face. Nowadays (past couple years) I read Getbig to see why the successful are so. Examples include you, Chick, Vince Basile, Ron, and others. You'll succeed this time as well if anyone can - businesswise and weightwise.

keith if you're reading this..don't listen to the knuckleheads on the board

they have no clue what life is about. till something tragic happens to them or someone they care about and then they find out life isn't so black & white anymore. then they find themselves needing the support of other people, but maybe it won't be there cause they acted like asshols for too long

maybe enroll yourself in a set program like nutrisystem for men or something like that for the basic structure till you can get back down to a good weight for training again.
sounds like you have some great support already from DMarko.

I know what you mean about having an accident. it happened to a good friend of mine and it takes a loing time to get back from the injuries. swimming is great! now it's just the food intake to focus on

you can do it man. 48 is still young!!!
