I don't hate or dislike Jay. I just feel that the best man lost. I actually feel bad for him.

Jay is the most marketable Pro Bodybuilder at the moment, that's why he's #1

I am a Jay fan all the way but I think he was not the best man on Friday and Saturday. I admire his hard work, his dedication, and at his best his physique which was not what he displayed this year.

I just get sick of hearing Jay say this or that about his fans.

Ronnie has a big fan base.....

Dorian, Lee Haney....hell Lee Priest has a shit load of fans.

Jay on the other hand....I would not consider the "People's Champ" with a large fan base.

I respect Jay for being a good business man, and you have to admit, he has given bodybuilding a little bit more media attention since becoming the champ in 06. But looking at it from a physique point of view, he should never have won a O. He is a complete bodybuilder with no real flaws, but he is very blocky and his upper body looks like shit even when he gets his conditioning right, and even then he still has no definition or vascularity.

Jay has temporary fans. When Jay retires he will be forgotten and within 2 years of leaving he'll be just like Banout and Dickerson.

Ronnie and Dorian will always have a giant fan base, they were true warriors and will always have the fan's respect.

Jay is the bodybuilding equivalent of the Macarena.

can any of the older guys give us an example of where Cutler is headed in terms of memory? Was there a guy in the 70s that was huge but largely disliked as a champ?

I really don't see why people say Jay is so marketable. He has no strikes against him no [prison record etc] but I see no massive marketability except for the fact that he is happily married, sensible financially and pleasant.

As far as sheer marketability, IMO Gunter and Dugdale are far above him. Dugdale is a family man, good looking, articulate, beautiful wife and children, successful business owner, religious etc. Gunter defines the term charisma and friendly when you meet him, good looking, 'million dollar smile', multilingual, beautiful wife who is also a pro and featured in TV etc.

No diss on Jay here....but I just miss the marketability factor, if there even is one in pro bb $:-\$

Jay is the most monotone speaking individual out there.

There's no excitement in his tone....ever.

Even when Ronnie wasn't 100%...his fans would jump on the wagon & defend their champ.

Can't say for the last 2 days I've seen any Jay Cutler support threads.

I really want to see this supposed or alleged 'fan base' he says he has.

Obviously not more than Arnold, and i guess the more i think about it, Ronnie did a pretty good job on the media side of things. Didn't he get a proper interview with Jay Leno? (not that beach flipper race incident) I thought i heard that Jay did a couple of interviews for some news channels before the O. Anyway, he won this year, and will win next year because everyone knows he wants 3 Mr.O titles, but we will remember Jay as probably the most undeserving bodybuilder to win multiple O's. So what if he worked extremely hard, his physique is not worthy of the prestigious title of Mr.Olympia.

Jay rules and has looked amazing in the past. And personally i think he looked great from behind at this years olympia. That said i dont think he shoulda won, but its not jay who chooses who wins, so i see no reason to bash jay for that.

If you go back and read the threads from last year when Jay won, i said that it was time for that All American white boy to be the new Mr. Olympia...do i think that's how it should be? No big opinion on that one but the fact he has a different look than any of the past Mr. Olympia's i believe was the IFBB trying a different way to "market" (so to speak) bodybuilding.
