Don't forget genetic response to drugs.
Yes, at the end of the day, regardless of how most "competitors" look, they achieve very little without the use of heavy anabolics.  Sad, but true.  Show me one "pro" who put on 40lbs of muscle, before touching any drug?  What, Ronnie Coleman...then who?
People can spin it any way they'd like to, at the end of the day, they know where their gains lie.  Needles and pills baby.
However, many can take the same amount of gear and look nothing close to this though, so very true.  Does this mean I respect it more, of course not. ;)

Croatch, I know you made your recent gains without drugs, but that does not necessarily mean that you will keep those gains. If  you come of your strict diet and say stop working out for a month, you will probably lose your gains just like any juicer. The only difference is that you have not stressed your liver or kidneys, but then again you may have really worn out your joints. Any opinions on this.

Recent, I'd say all, but yeah, recent since 2002...55lbs.  Epic Commas.
The chance of dropping all gains in a month, is pretty much impossible.  Of course, you'd drop a lot of your gains, if you radically change your lifestyle.  However,my gains are not reliant on a magic pill or shot.  Plus, my natural test levels don't plummet from eating too many egg whites either.  Meaning, these guys need shots constantly, just to stay normal...which is after years of abuse.  Almost sad really.
I just don't see how many derive a sense of accomplishment by injecting xyz and thinking, "Man, I'm one of the best drug abusers out there!"
This is a bodybuilding board, so I'm aware it's saturated with these types.  Most people in society would fully agree with my point though.

When is that?  What is the first place prize?  If there is actual money behind it and no drugs involved, I'd consider that.

Forget Milos, he only needs to call his hometown man, mr. grainy himself dorian yates he make sure this youn lad dont mess things up
Actually, Flex handles his own contest prep -- no assist from Milos.

As has always been the case, Flex's pal and IFBB Pro Neil Hill will be in his corner the final week to keep the h2o away.

your one cantankerous dude.  Squadfather get under your skin again.?

Listen, my point is this. You act like your gains are so great because they are more "real". But none of our gains our real because they are not permanent. Some day you will get a demanding job and a relationship that requires more than balling and you will not have time for 2 hour workouts and 6 meals a day. Your gains will erode. So why are muscles gained naturally better than muscles gained chemically, they are both temporary are they not?

And please dont talk about honor and valour and all that crap.

And by the way you were once a juicer were you not?

This year's winner won $2000. Easily pays for the food & gym dues.

What's funny about this post is, I put on the most size when I was working @60 hours a week.  It allowed me to actually be more regimented..haah  Never missed a workout either.  I love when people try to come up with some excuse for not eating enough meals or missing workout, please..haha
Yes, all gains are temporary.  I'd rather gain 10lbs myself, than 30lbs through drug use.  I simply don't respect it.  Have I done a cycle, yes, one at 18.  I also smoked weed at 16 and did coke a few times at 20.  All to me, are a complete waste of time.
I wouldn't consider 2 months out of 15 years of training a significant enough period to be claimed a juicer, but if it works for you, sure. ::)
Lastly, I wouldn't say there is more honor in doing it without drugs, but I'm sure 90% of the population would disagree with you there.  Same reason why it's an embarassment when athletes get busted.  It's a crutch for your progress.  Without it, most wouldn't accomplish jack shit in a gym.  I actually feel sorry for most people every time I lift.  Just pathetic fuckers. ;D

dont get me wrong I respect what you have accomplished and if you only did one cycle I woudnt consider  you a juicer. But we do agree that all gains are temporary. Why there is not more discusssion and research into how to keep gains is beyond me. I think this is a culture of instant gratification and temporary highs. Live for the moment. I think that should change and there should be more discussions and research into how to maintain or keep gains permanently.

But do you ever think you might consider doing gear to give yourself a break, I mean how many damn curls can one do in a lifetime, how many more hours in the gym do you can think you can take?. It gets pointless after a while and mind numbing. And if the gains dont stay what is the point? So taking some HRT  to keep gains and save time in your life for more important things doesn seem so bad. Yes it is a risk but everyone takes risks in life, love and career.

To think one can maintain the kind of intensity you have for the next 10 to 20 years is naive dont you think?

nycbull, don't waste your time on Croatch. He is a jaded cynic who's full of anger and rage and hatred. His only redeeming feature is that he, like me, is a dedicated boob man who loves the giant natural titties.

You make a very good point...

Croatch always had valid arguments here too, but I think you've just checked him.  Croatch, sorry buddy, but it might be easy to brag about your gains now while you're young and full of natural test....but what happens when your natural test does start dropping, along with your intensity???  :o

You might be singing a different tune then  ;)

BTW nybull....what's your problem with Southern California?!
just not good enough
