Yeah, we all went out and got these tight running shorts and stupid shirts and headbands and stuff.  One fucking guy showed up at the party with the rex-kwon-do starts and stripes pants and some dude even wore those strength/jumper calf shoes!  The party was a pretty good time.

I actually just switched up my leg routine at the beginning of august.  Right now its 5 sets squats supersetted with 5 sets lying leg curls,   then 5 sets stiff legged deads supersetted with 5 sets leg extensions.  Then I finish off with 4 sets of walking lunges.  Prior to that my program for a long time was

4 sets squatss(ass to the floor)
4 sets leg press
4 sets hack squat or smith front squats
4 sets walking lunges
4 sets leg extensions

Yesterday I got 12 with 315 on the bench press.  I would like to go up to 365 for about 6 but my concern that that I would tear a pec...I've heard that anything over 315 is not safe.  What do you guys think?

Somebody who is able to lift what you claim would never ask such an asinine question.  Someday IF you ever are able to BP that, you'll see what I mean.

Its pretty basic, but thats pretty much how my training has always been.  The program I'm on right now is just to switch things up some.  Supersets are a bitch though!

Not exactly.... I don't know if he's fucking around or not but I have never put more then 225 on a flat bench since I was younger and stupid (most ever was about 280-290 at 18-19) but I rep the 225 even on inclines at the end of a chest workout now. I don't like to test my strength and would rather use dumbells until that 225 is hard to do (like only 6reps). I just hate flat bench also and rarely do it because of the risk of injury, I have never done more then a rep or two with 225 on the flat and that was just to see how easy it was.

It seems to me that it would be easier to get hurt using dumbbells than a barbell?

I tried quad sets before and it was the most intense leg workout I ever did.

I pyramided up the weight with each set and did about 5sets

Front smith machine squat x10-15 then turn around
Regular smith machine squat x10-15
Hack squat machine x10-15
Leg press x10-20

I would have to walk around aimless between sets so as not to get tightened up and toward the end just lye on the floor in a puddle of my own sweat cause my legs felt like jello and I was dizzy.

The dumbbells feel more comfortable to me, main thing is you can bail on them any time.

There's a BIG difference between 225 and 315.  An even bigger difference when you're talking about 315 for 12 reps or so.

I just mean I can understand someone not wanting to test their strength.I know people who have lifted heavy weights many of time and then one day using a normal weight they tear a pec or rip their shoulder out. Any time who are pushing 6reps or lower (when your fresh) your putting alot of stress on your joints.

I doubt he got the 12 reps easy if he even did it, probably had a few half reps.

I doesn't matter if people believe it not...I got 12 full reps with 315.  My wife said she had to give a slight pull on the 12 rep (although I did not feel her pull).

When I say I can gain 2 reps on my heavy set of bench per week I am referring to eating right, working out hard, and being on some sort of analoblic agent (Superdrol in this case).  I have also lose 2 reps in a week if I don't eat enough calories, do to much cardio, do to much delt work, cutting up, etc.

The questions is legit, I've heard from alot people that say if you do Bench Press don't go above 315 because of the risk of a pec tear.  Most of these people seem to believe that DBs or Inclines are safer.

MOS - Yes in my life I have went above 315, on my second heavy bench set I've done 4 reps with 365 (I weighed about 240 at the time), however I've only done this maybe 2 or 3 times)  I have only maxed out once and it was about 4 months ago and I got 405 at a body weight of 205.  I keep thinking that if I tear a pec then I'm going to have all of this weigh coming down and crushing my chest or head.  Like I said I heard of this guy that tore his pec with a max out at 385, the people that saw it said that the entire pec just fell.  I believe the guy spend a shit load of money having his pec repaired (money that I don't have)

bullshit, let's see a video.

You are such a fag. Why is it so hard for you to believe anyone can do this. Fuck I can do this. I have done 315 for 12 for 3 sets then hit the 400's for reps afterwards. You live in a small bubble. What if you can't do it then no one else can?
