He starts to look like he should! Great to see these guys bulk up a bit in the off season! It still is the best way to put some extra muscle...
I can't understand why all you guys hate if pros bulk in off season!? I want to see improvements in their physiques and you can't change your physique a lot with 4% bf.
If you are doing that you will end up like Shawn Ray...no improvements at all trough pro career. Is that what you want - everybody looking the same every year  ???

Shawn Ray circa 1993-1996 is better than Martinez will EVER be.

So yes, given the choice, I'd rather have pros look the same year after year (if we're talking Shawn Ray as the constant) than "improve" to look like Martinez, Cutler ('07) or any of the rest of those bloated bellies.

Have a look at this change in arm structure from 6+ years ago. Second picture is two years ago. Third is this year. He must have been hitting those curls hard!  ::)

I get your point - but in my opinion it would soon get boring if guys would be the same every year.
Rays calves were better than Martinez calves will EVER be - but the rest.......i don't think so, man!

arms filled with synthol, blocky, weird shape to his calves
should've lost the arnold to dexter and no way did he and jay deserve top 2 spots, which clearly belonged to dexter and dennis

I remember seing pictures of him in 2000 doing  back double bicep shots and his bis were totally flat. then 3 years later in the same shot they were peaked like ronnie colemans im like wtf??
