Similar to my friend, whos dad used to bench 800lb for reps (yes 800 for reps) in his basement but has never competed cos he "doesnt want the hassle"  ::)

this was not an atlas stone, it was a landscaping rock about 4 to 5 inches wide, it was an awkward shape and the way i did it was easy.  Once i stood it up on one end, it was about 5 feet tall.  I got low, let the rock lean into me and used the momentum to get it off the ground.  Leverage is everything.  Theres no way i could clean lift a 500lb atlas stone off the ground but i may be able to hold one if it was say....at chest height and rolling it off the back of a truck.  Next time i go to florida to visit ill take a fuckin picture for you haters.

im 6'4" 260-270 pounds and i've been strength training for a while.  Why is it so unreasonable that i can move something thats just over twice my own weight?  Shit i've seen a 900 pound man walk on his own two feet.   Thats like a 300 pound man lifting 600 pounds.  You know that fat fuck isnt in shape or exercising regularly....forget about strength training....but he can still walk.  Its all about how the weight is dispersed and leveraged.

Assuming this rock is about 100 lbs per cubic foot, you moved a 5 foot tall, 4-5 inch foot wide, and roughly 3 foot long (length x width x height) 590 lb rock from the ground?  This is basically like moving a tall, large tombstone.....I could believe this one.  Not sure if I do, but I could believe it.
