come on now.

every time he tried to hawk something, there'd be a million posts raggin his ass. him and ron had to work overtime just to delete them all.

once he realised the getbig gallery wasn't buying his bs, he treated the board with contempt and just came on to stir up keith and others.

shawn ray has always only been about shawn ray. nothing else matters to him, not his friends, his compatriots, his wife, not even his mother. anyone is fair game and can be used, abused and sold in a heart beat.

having said that, why on earth would ray give a flying fuck about ron and his stupid site? all ron was to ray was a fat fuck with a website (no disrespect to the ronster. you a lean mean fightin machine to me bro

), a business partner who permitted shawn to use his site as a vehicle for his wares in return for the occasional post.

shawn's good bud, flex, is over at md and if blechman pays him, he'll be an even better bud.

this is bbing folks. pro bbers and ex pro bbers are bought and sold by the highest bidder, mr olympia titles aswell, apparently.

MD is the best magazine in the business, has by far the best and most comprehensive (this is indisputable) contest coverage, and yes it has waaaaaaay too many ads (but who cares?), and the articles by "pros" are all ghost-written (probably necessity when dealing with non-professional writers), but it still kick's Flex's ass.

The MD radio show is slightly inferior to PBW in terms of production values, but no longer in terms of guests. Sure, PBW had Jay Cutler on (Mr. Exciting himself!), but here's who has been on No Bull Radio in the past six episodes: Dennis Wolf, Shawn Ray, Flex Wheeler, Rich Gaspari, Victor Martinez, Victor Conte, Dexter Jackson, Melvin Anthony, Steve Weinberger, Iris Kyle, Gerard Dente, and more...

Shawn had a decision to make to either (a) stay and play with the teenagers on Getbig and have a laugh... often at his own expense (Getbig is the funniest site on the Web, imo) or (b) align himself with the rising star in the Bodybuilding world. He made the smart choice, as he always does!

Speaking of being a whore all the way to the bank, does anyone know what the exact numbers of this deal between Shawn and MD is?

I keep hearing this 4K a month crap and if that's the case, a mere 48K a year, which after taxes is more like 30K is not a whole lot of money to work with...

Maybe Shawn should take up acting like Levrone and be a big time Hollywood star?

No, I don't feel betrayed by Shawn Ray himself. Business is business. MD wants to pay him, that is great, and the only part I feel bad is that MD continues to create bad blood by putting in the contract not to post on Getbig, instead of working together for harmony.

Shawn here or not on the board doesn't matter. I never had the board for the pros, I had the board for the fans. For honest discussion, good or bad. I went to Shawn's wedding, known him for 12+ years. Just because he is with MD doesn't mean no contact with him. We will still talk, eat lunch, etc.

True. While some say the boards are negative, it is usually someone who wants something to gain with it. Aka, Blechman. Blechman could easily have harmony, but he doesnt want to. Blechman spends tons of money for the website, I am having fun and enjoying the website. The turth is, the people who have posted, for good or bad, usually get the best deals, aka Shawn. Shawn knows that. Of course I promoted his stuff. And if he has another Muscle Camp, would probably promote that. If it does something good for bodybuilding, I still will promote it.

I know your business is one where you build great relationships within the bodybuilding industry and strive to bring the sport to a new dimension, but if STEVE BLEACHMAN takes over this industry, as he apparently is trying to do with getting every freaking name under contract, don't you feel that, once in absolute power, he will try to blackball YOU and all of your efforts to keep the sport moving forward?? Ron is too nice. Sean back stabs everyone at one point and more if possible. If he hasn't back stabbed you then you haven't met him or done business with him, so consider yourself lucky. You do understand that Getbig is for the fans, and that it is not my business. I do work a full time job., actually 50+ hours a week. Getbig is for fun, for the fans, and as long as we have fun, I will be there, taking pictures, talking, writing about everything, and promoting the sport.

Ron, I'm sure you do know that your site is the AUTHORITY when it comes to bodybuilding and that if you were to ever decide to maybe set up a supplement store, provide slots for advertisements and maybe even throw a few RON AVIDAN classics throughout the year, you would never again have to worry about working and you'd probably be making millions of dollars every year the likes of bodybuilding.com.
