Its just mainstream exposure for the sport dude calm down...he will be handed his ass eventually.  Plus he's only been training MMA for like 9 minths now.

how much more exposure does ufc/mma need now. Even with the fighters they have now, they should be marketing those fighters not a former wrestler from the wwe. Look at poor matchups they are putting together nothing compared to prides cards. In time I'm sure the cards will get better. Adding lesnar to the mix is a disservice to the high calibre fighters that are already in the ufc and they aren't even using them properly.

Well let's take a look at a few examples, how about the last two Pride on japanse soil:

PRIDE 34 - Kamikaze:

Yoshihiro Nakao     Edson Draggo - draggo has 3 losses in a row and is now fighting in cage rage

Eric Esch     Wagner da Conceicao Martins - that's right, thats eric butterbean... fighting 390 pounds "Zuluzinho" who has 3 losses in a row, they even let this chump fight fedor back in 2005...  and nog in 2002... why did pride match their best fighters against people like that?

Makoto Takimoto     Zelg Galesic - here comes the japs... pride loved to put a lot of japanse tomato cans on their cards...

Gilbert Yvel     Akira Shoji - great to make gilbert fight a jap with 14 wins and 16 losses...   

James Thompson     Don Frye - another giant card, retarded japs with their love for giants and godzilla..

Shinya Aoki     Brian Lo-A-Njoe - aoki is 11-2 and they match him up with brian who is 4-9-2 and got submitted in 1,5 minutes... he has now 4 losses in a row

Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou     Ricardo Arona - wow finally a decent fight

Jeff Monson     Kazuyuki Fujita - last fight of the night, they put the tomatocan fujita up against monson

this is the kinda dreamcard pride delivered that get everyone so worked up? 

let's take a look at pride 31, maybe pride 34 was just a bad card?:

Roman Zentsov     Pedro Rizzo - roman got nearly as many losses as wins, but against a washed up rizzo he managed to win. rizzo nowadays fight in art of war, ive yet to hear anyone want him back in ufc.

Quinton Jackson     Dong Sik Yoon - rampage, now in ufc, fights yoong  a 2-4 record asian

Fabricio Werdum     Jon Olav Einemo - decent matchup, werdum went to ufc - and lost against arlovski.

Tsuyoshi Kohsaka     Mario Sperry - here we go, one more jap against one more 1990's fighter...

Alistair Overeem     Sergei Kharitonov     - decent matchup

Josh Barnett     Kazuhiro Nakamura - who lost againt machida in ufc, got choked out by barnett

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira     Kiyoshi Tamura - great another japanse fighter... submitted in 2,5 minutes

all in all pride WOULD put together better fights. they didn't take the time to build up a fight  by letting 2 great fighters fight a couple of easier fights before they put them together like the ufc does. there tournaments as listed above put some of the best matches together they had also.

also the yellow cards the ref had where you got money taken if you weren't fighting were great. tim slyvia wouldn't make any money in the ufc if they had those
