self promotion?
guys posts his pictures, essentially opening himself up to scrutiny, but he apparently
cant take critisism very well.

as far as the drugs, in case you have picked up on this, this isn't flex magazine
where we pretend that "its all cardio, diet and hard work"...

do you seriously think the npc nationals judges give a shit about this thread, getbig or 'alex a' ?

don;t take this shit too seriously man
I'd venture to guess that he does less than a gram a week, keeps his growth under 4iu's, and might use clen and anti-estrogens somewhere in the last month before competition.  So having that been said, can we move on?

And his self-promotion here is extremely wise, IMO.  It is very easy to go to Nationals and not even get a call out.  That is  common fear amongst even the most stage-ready guys going to Nationals.  After this thread, he will very likely be in the first callout in his class.  You've simply gotta make sure they know you're coming, and at this point, everyone will be watching for him.  2 weeks out, if you're truly ready, is the BEST time to be "making friends" on a message board, IMO.

And let's face it...making friends on this message board is making yourself known in the industry.  This message board IS the industry.  You can call yourself a member of any other board, but you always read Getbig in addition to the place you might call home.   I see alot of people posting in other places just to feel like they belong somewhere.  IMO the other boards simply exist as safe-haven in that way for them.  Everything noteworthy goes down here.  Which is why you have a thread like this one playing out here.  The best shit is what we get.  And be assured that if anything else on any other board is worth reading, it will be brought here in it's rawest, juciest form at some point, and the "Getbig version" of the thread is gonna be FAR better than the other board's "version" of the thread, anyway.  If I'm reading another board, it's more in the name of "keeping in touch" with a few personalities from the past that don't show themselves on here, but that's really it.  The bottom line is that if you're reading Getbig, you're probably not gonna miss anything, and if you don't, you probably just have your head stuck in the sand in more ways than just one.  You live in a bubble.  It's getting to where the name "Getbig" isn't even mentioned on other forums.  It's like the dark secret that no one wants to bring up...it challenges things.

Props to Alex for doing some major damage in the thunderdome.  If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.  If you think you've got it going on, come to Getbig and you'll find out what's up.  The verdict is in, and Alex very obviously has it going on.

i think its awful to juice that much when u obviously dont have the genetics.

You should have pick up another hobby cause the only thing ull get in return of the heavy juicing is a shorter lifespan.

Alex A, you re not going to beat anyone anywhere in terms of bbing, this is a pure waste.

I don't even like the modern era "bodybuilding" physique, but you look great Alex. Good luck.

Thanks for the advise

I will just send back my first place 2006 USA trophy and tell Jon Lindsay, the shows promoter,  that I didn't deserve it, give it to next place guy who had 6 seconds and 5 thirds. And that he really deserved it.

The show was fixed and my straight first places from the Judges were not really earned. I think I will take up bowling instead.

lololol...oh brother.....you lost all credibility of having any knowledge of anything relating to bodybuilding when you posted pics of yourself holding 20+ lbs of fat and stating "I spilled over." lolololol...yeah, you spilled over alright.....Alex A has forgotten more about nutrition and training than you'll ever know....try to remember that when you look at him and think "all drugs"

tell that to 15-20 batams,25 or so lightweights, welters.middles, all avg 25 or more per class in these shows.these guys are getting the most out of their genetics and seing there passion through, not all lighter classes are an example of dex jackson who started as batam and now can claim to be top 3 of the olympia each year.local and state level have dozens of bbers pursuing there dream .its the same in any sport or endevor not everyone who shoots a basketball is going to jordan,or golf like woods, there more avg and above avg in any sport than exceptional.alex here as stated is at the top of the food chain as a lightweight nat bber,he can on from here with a bit more size and if same conditioned can rack up next 2 weight class tiltles, even marvin ward a great bber stayed amateur after pro status was easier to be great amateur ,than a forgotton pro..

Can you keep competing in the NPC as an IFBB pro?

Well, if you don't petition for the pro card. As I understand it you're not automatically a pro even if you win one of the classes that makes you eligible.

Wow, what a statement that makes.  Anybody else feel me on this?  Couldn't you liken not petitioning for your IFBB pro card after winning your weight class at Nationals to Muhammed Ali throwing his Olympic gold medal into the river?

Ali states (in his 1975 autobiography) that he threw his Olympic gold medal into the Ohio River after being refused service at a 'whites-only' restaurant, and fighting with a white gang. Whether this is true is still debated, although he was given a replacement medal during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, where he lit the torch to start the games.

Except in this case Alex's symbolic act of defiance could be in protest of the use of insulin in bodybuilding as opposed to racial oppression?  Coach tells me it's kinda the same thing if you lend enough thought to it.   :D

Nice view count...3500 ain't bad for the age of this thread, we're probably as strong today as we've been; if I get Alex to agree to a group shoot with Coach next weekend I can guarantee 6000+ views in 10 days...I'll make absolute sure of it.  Think about it Alex.  Coach is already coming down and he'll be 2 weeks out; you'll be one, it'll be sick...

At last year's Ironman he was contest ready just to go sit in the audience to watch the show.  Peaked for it and everything.  True story.  Just hardcore for no reason at all; just sick man.  He ain't gonna stop...I'm wondering if Ronnie's gonna have a problem now.  Prepping for them was life or death and not prepping by now probably equates straight with just not living; lacking life.

Same thing with Nasser...he's just revealed that he's still sittin' at home "phantom prepping" as well.  Spooky stuff.

he's an enigma ,really could have at his true peak  turned the bbing world upside down in 80/90;s seemed bored with total competitive nature given to compete year end and out and play the game so to speak?
