If I could go back in time, those things never would have happened. I would have gone back to driving a truck. I have no doubt in my mind that the primary cause of my problem--the biggest thing--was the chemicals. It was the steroids, the growth hormones, the diuretics. We take Cytomel to lose fat, knowing it's an incredibly powerful thyroid drug, and that's only one of the many, many drugs out there taken by everyone, from amateurs to the highest level in the world.

Mike, we understand why bodybuilding has no credibility as a sport!

There is a cruel-lesson to be learnt here.  

Mike was well aware that this game of 'chemical-Russian-roulette' had its consequences.  Unfortunately, he never heeded the warning signs.

Those who love and care for Mike, now have to, yet again, pick up the pieces of his flawed choices.

Bro, not cool to make light of Mike's heart attack.  Who cares what led to the tragedy (drugs, etc.), fact is, what's happened has happened.  I wish him and his family the best in this difficult time.

The real victims here, are his family!  Mike new the cosequences of his actions.  


Yes, Mike has brought untold misery to his life, but more significantly, has provided more trauma and horror to those closest to him!

Matarazzo seems like a decent guy.  He know he fucked up, he didn't blame anyone but himself.  You can't really bash that.  Not a choice most would make, but a choice almost every pro bodybuilder does.  It's honestly, beyond idiotic behavior.  In my eyes, competing is usually nothing more than rationalizing irrational cycles and placing a purpose, where there really is none.

By all reports, Mike was a stand-up guy.  He lived his life on a knife edge, dabbling in all things chemical; anything that would give him an edge. 

Bodybuilding was his lilfe and he would do whatever it took to look big, bold and threatening!
