question about abs
« on: November 11, 2007, 12:29:52 PM »
hey guys
I have noticed that my abs are getting to big.I know that abs are diet and cardio. But my abs are getting big. its not like i have a belly or anything like that. Its like a muscle-belly type. where its not  sagging down and i dont have lover handles. I just notice that the  muscles are growing. I use the train abs with only weighted exerises b/c I was getting too small in the mid-section and couldn't fit my clothes b/c it was too big in the waist. I think b/c I use to do heavy crunch crunches and weighted  reverse crunches. If gone back to just the bodyweight crunches and hanging leg raise to just tone out the abs.

any one out there have this problem?? and whats a good way to  fix it??

BTW: I train abs once per week

Thanks

if your talking about muscle mass and not fat; dont do weighted ab work then. come on, you should be able to figure that out by yourself ??

switch to body weight exercises only and go for higher reps.
It hasn't helped...

How about just not training abs for about 6 weeks or just do vacuums?

i would say this is good advice, except he should do high rep body weight exercises once a week to keep them tight and defined.

Do 4-5 ab exercisers in a row........no weight,no resting between exercises until all 4-5 are done.

That`s it.

maybe just do as little as possible like one set of crunches a few times a week but try to be around 8 percent body fat and your abs will look good.
