u said it only recognises failure. most people fail about 3 or 4 sets. so 4 sets of 1 rep to FAILURE should be in line with what ur saying, right? or did i just uncover a flaw in ur program

reaching repetition failure

and being tired to do another set are two different things

progressive resistance can = more volume because the body is 'resisting' the more volume you put to it

calories supply the energy or infinite energy=infinite food

just like when people quit a workout they are 'gassed out' . when all it takes is a couple double cheesburgers or a snickers or whatever and i garantee if you had some major snacks at the gym you wouldnt want to quit your workout. when i used to go to the gym i would bring dougnuts or any kind of cakes or whatever while people would lift in there groups of five i would workout non stop as long as i had food and water

progressive resistance = overload

you must overload the muscle in order to make your statement 100% true, now I guess if you wanted you could say well I'm doing 1,152 reps now and I was doing 1.150 reps last time so I basically achieved a form of overload and going strictly by definition you would be correct.....you wouldn't add any muscle but you'd be correct.  

I dont' believe any type of training is "wrong" or "right" but I do believe that utilizing overload-always increasing your poundages you're using for a specific rep range is what builds muscle but you have to have a handle on the concept, once you get to the point of an almost infinate number of reps with a given weight it just becomes ineffective.....IMO.

the first pic i was 265 im guessing? second pic 228 (depleted and trying to diet to get ripped=big mistake when i shouldve trained more and ate more all within an intellegent range and plan) i didnt have a plan for dieting for mrgetbig 2 i simply didnt eat shit , therefore i didnt have the energy to train for shit. even looking at the pics im not much smalller anyways i dont see what the fuss is about really

you recruit all your muscle fibers at the very end of the final rep of the set bro....the whole high repetitions scenario is a way to gauge how much calories are being utilized and 1rep=1 calorie is an easy method to tabulate a good diet or gaining routine


i garantee a guy doing 2,000 pushups a day maxing out at the end of the send every set and eating the required amount to have energy to compete it will be better than the guy only doing 100 pushups a day maxing out on the end of the set every set while eating less calories
