I may be wrong, but wasn't his best placing at the Olympia 7th in 95? Also, too lazy to find the pic now, but ND posted a comparison pic at the 94 NOC with Nasser and Francois was not even close to deserving that win - it was very analogous to that old MM comparison between Yates and Dillet.
If it was the 80's he'd obviously be #1...however I dont think he could hang with most of the top guys in the 90's.
