I did this for kicks on my ME lowerbody day to see how id' far in an upcomng strongman show I signed up for in february. They're pulling by wessel's rules so here's how the workout went. ME lowerbody...I would consider this max effortdeadlifts with wessel's rules (1 min time limit)500x10x1 in a minute...could've gotten 12 or better if i kept going. I wanted to hit my goal of 500 for 10 and smoked it!!405x14x1 in a minute..kept rep'n to 20315x19x1 in a minute..kept rep'n to 30had to walk around for about 5 minutes because my ass would cramp when i would sit. I assume your asking about maxing out on the 315, Im not sure of what my max is now as I havent maxed out in over a year but its probably around 375 and maybe a little little extra. I can do 5 at 405. I try to go up though but it's really hard - I can't get even one with 455, and with 425 I only get 2. I think I'm going to start working with 425 to try to bring my reps up.
then stop bouncing it on the floor between reps. any time someone can get a lot of reps with a weight but can barely go above, it means they're bouncing the weight and have no strength for that first inch.
If the bottom of the ROM is the issue, train with 35 lb plates instead of 45's. HUGE difference nd yur explosive power from the bottom will definitely go up.
20.....no i'm not kidding.I pull 675...I hit 500 for 10, 405 for 20, and 315 for 30 reps last sunday...and i'm still hurting. fyi..overload gives the best deadlift advice.
