I don't get where the problem with that statement is. Lot's of wealthy people have hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. I mean, I make about a tenth (or less) of what Irvin made a year, and I have a 6K Breitling and 9K Mueller.

The trouble my friend is that so many people complain how they were so poor and than throw that out simply out of the window as soon as they

Didn't seem like a waste. It probably was, but so is my car, my tv, pretty much everything I buy I could find a cheaper alternative. But my wife works and makes great money, I'm doing ok and I like nice things.

100% true. But Irvin made more than a 3M a year for a pretty long career, and made around 1M a year as an analyst after he retired. Him buying a 75K watch is like me buying a 5K watch, it's all relative.

I mean, he IS an idiot, but that's another point entirely. I bet he spent way more on blow.
