Medford, TBH, all I see from you are excuses.
Excuses for NOT succeeding.
I've had a problem with my hip for a while - it hasn't stopped me. I'm sure everybody has some kind of excuse for not training, or not setting high goals, if they want to.
Most doesn't look for excuses.
But you do.
Get your ass back into training.

How about you just put in 100 workouts from today and then see where you're at when you're finished.
As empty as paradise

Yup!  I'm training, doing cardio and dieting while battling cancer and sarcoidosis (of both heart and lungs).

Most of us do train while other things are going on. Whether we work long days, have a sore knee from running all the time but after a few minutes you dont feel it. Medford, you seem like a nice person so please dont take this the wrong way. I use to make the biggest excuses more than anyone. Now after 9 months of solid training and yes it was all cardio (doing weights now also). I now run 7 miles straight then up to 30 minutes on the stair master (yes the one that moves when you walk,,ya know the big isor machine). I get up at 430 to be at the gym at 5 and am there until 640. I used to think  have to go to loose weight, Now I want to go and want to go all the time.. That is why I have lost 131 llbs which is half my body weight I have lost since feb 8th of this year. I was very disciplined. I bought some weight watchers cookbooks (I am now a lifetime member). I just made low fat oven fried chicken. and my daughter thought it was yummy, who knew cornflakes would make a great coating to chicken. I now weigh 130 llbs. Im shooting for 120. I fit in a size 2 gap jeans (I swear they must run big). If I can do it anyone can. I eat all my carbs before 10am. My 3 year old thinks im silly cuz i eat wheat pasta with a turkey sausage for breakfast sometimes. Medford I hope you stick to it. I mean I feel so much better, look better and care how I look. I mean medford I was a really big girl. I was 262 llbs 9 months ago. Joined weight watchers and the gym the same day and never looked back.

What a champion you are Laura. Not everyone can be a bodybuilder or fitness or figure. Medford doesn't fit any of those and probably never will as she lacks heart and dedication and drive and desire. But the sad thing is, thats probably how her life is also. Very sad. The only time her heart rate goes up is when she gets scolded by another "female", which makes me believe she likes it and uses that to make more excuses.

LMAO Hedge..what the hell kind of jeans are those ( I must be old)...My daughter was with her dad this weekend so I was bored..went to mall to kill some time (I went to the gym twice already that day)..I didnt buy them because I want to loose another 10 more pounds. Besides I cant bring myself to buy $100 pair of jeans (not sure how much those jeans are). I have a little one that I am saving for college for and my retirement (only 39) but never to early to save for my old age. It has been alot of hard work and discipline. I have no debt and car paid for and paying cash for xmas presents and just have a few more things to get and Im all done. I hate to hear people say I dont have time or I wish I  could. You can. Sure the first few weeks are hard but stick to it and its part of your life. Now all i need is to win the lotto so I can get a minor tummy tuck and boob job

Cheap Mondays are cheap, may not be available in all of US though.
Check out HM too, they got US stores and are nice and cheap.
Both brands have online shops as well.

Thanks hedge ( we have h and m the mall near me)and w8m8..and your right w8m8..I dont want to teach my daughter good eating habits. She always says she wants to go the gym with me but she is a little young. She went to her dads gym with her and they let her walk on the treadmill. She told me all about it.

Hedge, eating less isnt everything. exercise is key (imo).

Medford, last night my right eye was really bothering me and figured my contact was the cause. I woke up this morning at 430 and could barely open it. I must have pink eye and it can barely open. I ran my 7 miles and did the stair master. But I still went. I will not make execuse ever again, there is no need to. Yesterday, the attorney I work for and I went to a local real estate agents office for lunch that we do alot of closings for, most of have bdays this month. I picked up 4 large pizza's for everyone and I got a salad. I had a half slice and ate my salad. Its just a matter of discipline. One agent asked me dont you want more pizza, I said no thanks, salad is perfect. They brought cake and they knew I wouldnt eat it and gave me a fruit salad, which was thoughtful and delicious. You can do iit Medford

I'm thinking this thread should be renamed "newmom's training log"

This Medford character is a lost cause and does not even work out or diet on anything but Budweiser and Doritos.

I agree.  I have nothing against Medford, but I do believe that she would love to look and feel healthier, but I believe she lacks the strength and determination (and some people do...doesn't make them a bad person) to do so.  I just wish she would either accept who she is (regardless) and be happy with it instead of trying to hype us up that she's going to do this or going to do that.  Although it's nice to hear people in your corner giving you props or cheering you on...our opinion doesn't matter....it's your family and friends opinions that should really matter.  :)

You know what.
I don't buy into that whole 'accept who you are' philosophy that's going around.
If you tell someone that they're beautiful on the inside or some other BS it's just being self righteous IMO.
Who are we to say that Medford can't improve?
Complacency sucks.
newmom has no better genetics for being fit than Medford.
Reason she's out of shape are she for whatever reason lacks discipline.
Doesn't make her a bad person.
But she got to fcuking snap out of it and change.

IMO, bashing won't help.
But neither will comments that tells about all the excuses she has for not getting in shape.

I'm not saying she shouldn't get healthy ... she definitely should eat smart and exercise.  What I'm saying is that if she's going to do it, do it for herself.  "We" don't matter...our opinions don't matter, because she doesn't know us.  She doesn't need our approval or praise.  I feel based on her numerous posts (especially in this thread) that she feels she has to act as if she's training hard to get any recognition, and in by doing so...she is psyching people out and wasting their time.  I'm mostly talking about rip.  Lori was coming on and giving advice and cheering her on...all while trying to get ready for her own show.  Bodybuilding and competition is very time consuming and a pretty selfish sport.  Your focus is and should be on you and getting your body into it's best shape for show...and Lori was taking time away from getting ready to help Medford out.  Medford not taking this seriously or even trying (making all sorts of excuses) IMO was unfair to Lori.  Even though I know Lori will probably say "don't worry about - no biggie" it still bothers me because I know how focused she has to be on herself.

So with that said...I remind Medford that she has all the power in the world to make a change...but if you chose to do so...do it, do it for you and no one else...and don't make excuses if you don't chose to do it...just live with it.
