Ah c'mon Pollux, you gotta reduce the show-through in those scans
LOL! I'm just jealous 'cos when it comes to rare Arnold shit, I got nuthin'!
Those pics in the mountains, I guess they're from the same shoot as the semi-relaxed pic in his auto-bio, said to be one week before placing second in the '66 Uni.
I'll bet you have that in your vault too, don'tcha?
And the Miami contest, Frank Zane beat him in that one, didn't he? That was probably the point at which Arnold realised he'd better learn a little about precontest diets.
Especially after Vince Gironda being so nice about his condition LOL!
TNBT
LOL...I'm know, I know. I notice they show through. Some of the pictures I have in a scrap book, and can't help it.

As for the "mountain pics"...yes, it's from the same photo shoot as the one in Arnold's book, but I HIGHLY doubt it's him 1 week out from the '66 NABBA Universe. Here's why...I have an MD issue that covers the '66 NABBA Universe and Arnold doesn't look as built as those mountain pics.
Page 148 of the Nov. 2004 issue of
Ironman shows a picture of Arnold from those mountain pics and states he is 19 and 5 weeks out from the '67 NABBA Universe - wrong! The Universe was held on Sept. 24th. Arnold's birthday is July 30th. Either he wasn't 19 and just turned 20 or they got the weeks wrong!
And yes, Frank Zane did beat Arnold at the '68 IFBB Universe in Miami. If I have time, I'll post a rare pic of Arnold looking quite disappointed at his second place in that show.
My "Arnie Vault" does come in handy!
