Finasteride ;D
Regrowing hair NO WAY ::)
You can stop progression of baldness if reason is DHT.

In a 5-year study of men with mild to moderate hair loss, 48% of those treated with Propecia (finasteride 1mg) experienced some regrowth of hair, and 42% had no further loss.
Propecia is effective only for as long as it is taken; the hair gained or maintained is lost within 6-12 months of ceasing therapy :(

1mg/day is the normal dose.  My hairline hasnt gotten any worse since i started using it.  Some guys do experience regrowth on the crown part of their head with finasteride use.  By the way you may experience slightly more hair shedding than normal when you start using it, its only temporary and the hairs regrow back thicker/stronger.

You are better off purchasing Proscar (5mg) and cutting the tablets  into 1/4's or 1/2's, it is much cheaper that way.  I have been using 2.5 mg /day of proscar since the early 90's and believe that it has stopped my hair loss and perhaps gained some new ones at the vertex.  I would also recommend  using minoxidil 5% as a regrowth agent. As mentioned previously, should you stop either for an extended period of time you WILL lose the gains you have made.  For now, these two are the only two FDA approved treatments for hairloss.  I believe in the "kitchen sink" approach, which means that perhaps not one hairloss treatment will yield results but using several different treatments may produce better results as they compliment one another.  I also use Nizoral shampoo eod, spirolactons cream and a prescription concoction called proxiphern, which contains minoxidil, sod's, spiro, etc.  You can also try minoxidil with azelic acid.  I am 46 and have been using a combinations of these products since I was about 24.  I only have a recession with no balding at the vertex.  However, duirng the past 6 months I have been on a heavy cycle and have noticed some loss.  So I am tapering off and plan to try a more hair friendly cycle in Spring (primo and/or anavar).

One cavaet is to never use proscar while taking deca as it is reported to increase MPB.

mind saying what you were using, that still caused the hairloss despite using finasteride?

  I had a script for proscar which is the same as propecia except 5 mg pills instead of 2mg or whatever propecia is...It did slow down /stop the hair loss ,at least it seemed to. Never noticed any regrowth but I only took it about 6 months. I stopped because I thought I was getting some gyno from it.( could have been my imagination, I am paranoid about moobs  :-\ )

I was on about 1800 mg of test and deca as well.  I should not have been using that much but I was not sure if my gear was bunk or not. I was on a lot of different types of gear, i.e., test-enth, prop, deca, winnie tabs, bold, cyp, proviron.  so I really don't know which one was the cause.  I though I would drop my dose down to see if it lessened the sides.  I should not have used the deca with Proscar.

Never taken it but I've heard that limp dick can be a concern.  Something to research before starting.
