A AMI/MuscleTech/bb.com "Conglomerate"?
« on: December 28, 2007, 12:06:36 AM »
<HYPOTHETICAL> ...Weider isn't really what is used to be; MuscleTech is Canadian but ran by people with "ties" to the Weider family; bodybuilding.com is not only the most successful distributor ever but also the largest on line content creator. Recently, the De Luca acquired a sizeable chunk of AMI.

My dick is also raw from deep Christmas-time fucks from all sides but above is more interesting.

Weider Publications is owned by AMI.

Muscletech's ties to the Weider family is just not there. Vince Scalisi is the VP of Marketing at Iovate, aka Muscletech, who used to work at AMI Weider as Group Director.

DeLuca's (Ryan, Jeremy, Russ) did not aquire any part of AMI.

Stop with the rumors.

Get with the program of promoting bodybuilding in a positive way.

Muscletech may not have any official ties with AMI but I think Alex may have been referring to Muscletech athletes bodybuilders getting gifts thanks to Muscletech's seven figure contribution to the Olympia weekend.  ;)

just as in corporations and in govt, we'll never know who's in bed with who.  When you run a company, then leave and start another company, there will always be some ties, good or bad.  Chalk it up to what it is.  THe Supplemental Industrial Complex.  Millions of dollars worth of powders sold yearly to unsuspected masses.  Bodybuilders, promoters, GNC clerks, magazine subscribers, etc etc.  All pawns in the bigger "thing" that is the supplement industry.

I see nothing wrong with calling it what it is.

And I hope to launch my own product line in '08.   ;D

Alex,

Stick to promoting BIG NATION Radio and leave the Supplement-Military-Industrial Complex conspiracy theories to 240. He's already done the research and has the smoking gun! He has in his possession a video proving Jay Cutler didn't win the Olympia because when he's announced as the winner, if you look closely, his head goes back and to the left, which would have been impossible had he actually won.

I think the paranoia side of life is getting to you already.  Millions of people say that supplements work. We all know that it works. The problem is that there are a few companies out there that profit on false claims. Like any other industry. Such is life. Overall, the industry is a good one, and still growing by leaps and bounds.  As for sponsors, with or without them, it is the enjoyment of the sport, and having fun that what counts.  Get with it.  You probably beleive UFO's run the country also!

There's no way that Jay could've been told before the announcement that he was going to 'win'.

He has to have absolute deniability.   :D

That's exactly what I'm saying. The video of Jay winning was actually shot on a separate Hollywood soundstage in front of about 300 paid extras. In the original video, Jay's head moves up and down, in a nodding fashion. In the fake video, his head moves back and to the left. Watch carefully...Back...and to the the Left. Rewind. Back and to the left. One more time...back and to the left. What we have here gentlemen is a kun-spiracy.

Supplemento-Industrial-Militaro complex.... ;D

You're right, I'm pretty bad at it. I guess I'm too much of a realistic to fall into that crap.

The important is that AD Cherry got an invite to the Arnold. A fucking leap of faith and inspirational achievment when you know where he came from.

when u advertise  hormone made muscle to youngsters as being built using useless supplements ( anbything besides protein powder but even that iws a scam ) we got a problem...this industry is built on lies and because u put food on the table because of it u bullshit like everyone who's involved. Too bad. And another thing : I am not paranoic...but on this subject u are full of it and u know it. Don't put me in time out just cause I called u out  ;)
