/start calves with alternating, one-leg raises until you're down to 6 reps, then start your regular calf training. all told, should take less than 1/2 hour.

I'll give that a shot, thanks. I've done them DC style for years. 12 reps - hold for 5 seconds at the top, 5 seconds at the bottom. It put a little mass on them but nothing spectacular.
