So these days, you're about at the same level of strength as when you were 15 years old?
But some 20-30 lbs heavier?
How does that add up?
Ok, I know you've been following these retarted thread's that SF's posted in the years and maybe you either don't remember some of the responses I've given or just don't want to accept them, so I'll go over it ONE MORE TIME.
I have always benched and trained heavy up until 2002 when I tore my chest for the first time, up until then I regularly went to 405 for reps on bench with no problems. After that I was afraid to train heavy on bench or do any straight bar work. About 2 years ago, I went back to bench every other chest workout alternating straight bar with DB's. It worked fine for about a month or so. One day I was doing close grip bench and it tore again.
Today, I rarely bench just for being afraid of ANOTHER tear, I also (as I mentioned in another thread, a partially torn labrum in my right shoulder). No, Zack, the strength is still there, but no more injuries. At my age I would an absolute idiot to train as heavy as I used to.
C'mon, Zack, I know your smarter than that, don't ask stupid questions!
