Based on what i saw tonight BJ looks better than ever and strong too. He would do well not to look beyond Sherk though as that will be a tough fight.

BJ will walk right through Sherk, but not through GSP.  I'm willing to put money on it.  Let's go Onlyme....

I think BJ will beat Sherk also but I don't see the need for BJ to fight GSP again right away.  If Gomi signs with the UFC like many of the UFC marks are saying he's going to that's a big money rematch for BJ again.

GSP is too big, too strong, and oh yeah, HE HAS GREAT CARDIO...BJ wouldn't be able to last in the cage long enough to beat gsp, he may win the first round, but everybody knows he would gas by the third round and get knocked the fuck out...i really can't believe how bab bj's cardio has looked the last few times i saw him fight

Did he look bad last night.  I saw abs on him.  He is a different fighter now that he is being 100% serious.  He has the mindset to do it.

I don't think he can beat GSP. But I give credit where it is deserved, he looked pretty damn good last night.

I don't think Penn would take it.
St pierre is smart and will try to keep it on the feet till BJ gasses, which he will do sooner rather than later.

Do you think he would get an automatic titleshot? (Lets assume Penn beats Sherk and GSP beats Serra.)

Has BJ always gassed early? Why doesn't he get in better condition for his fights? You guys think he has no heart? I heard he is well off so he doesn't need the money, but Katie Holmes ran the New York marathon, and it's kind of fucked up thinking some crazy scientology billionaire bimbo trains cardio harder than a UFC champion.

Maybe Katie holmes should slug it out with BJ. See who gasses first.
I think BJ trains hard, but you have to have strength, fighting skills and cardio. It's hard to train all aspects .

His conditioning has been a problem in the past. I think it's naturally a weak(er) point, something that he has to give extra attention, but maybe he doesn't do it all the time. Having said that, maybe my statement was exaggerated because i noticed how tired he was after the daddy fight, but i still think GSP would win.

I'll take some action in a BJ/GSP fight.  Motivated BJ is a bear to handle, and if motivated, he will stop GSP.

People always say things like that, "if motivated". Do you guys think he lacks heart? He seems to be the only person who people seem to question his commitment all the time.

I've watched BJ unlike you guys.  For a fight he trains in the gym twice day.  He has 8 to 10+ guys helping him train.  They all go in the ring and on the mat with him and then do abs and cardio.  And how hard do you think you have to train for a marathon.  Unless you are doing it for a living or super serious about your running it doesn't take much.  You can walk it if you want.  My daughter has ran in the last 4 Honolulu Marathons and finished 3 of them.  She starts running the Monday before the event when her husbands dad comes in from Japan.  That is less than 7 days.  So don't try to compare a weekend runner with a champion UFC fighter.  I really thought you guys had some knowledge.

I think he probably gets a bad rap because he gassed against hughes that time...

I like Penn,I think he'll dominate now that he's back down to 155

What does that mean.  Where am I just talking there.  Those are all facts.  Sorry to dissappoint you.  Sorry I owned you again Hedgey but sometimes you just ask for it.  By the way I watched the Best of the UFC 2007.  In every match in the 2nd round the guys were breathing hard.  OH MY GOD! they are in such bad shape.  How dare they call themselves professional fighters ::) ::) ::) ::)

That you should do a marathon. Walking, or running.

Holy shit I can barely walk a half mile now without gassing.  I could have walked 26 miles back before what happened.  But I would never do it. Maybe on a moped.

BJ was finishing Franca in training both on the ground and on their feet.  He will wreck Sherk, then derail GSP.

More than anything, I want to see the BJ/Hughes rubber match.  Unfortunately, I don't see that happening...

I don't think Matt wants any part of BJ, at this point in their respective careers.
