Nasser El Sonbaty: $70,000 divorce and no money?
« Reply #2 on: January 21, 2008, 10:10:17 PM »
This may explain some truth behind Nasser's questionable financial wealth....

"I divorced at the beginning of 2003. It was a financially costly divorce for me. My former wife definitely got compensated for whatever she did for me.... I had the best possible understanding, support and help. No doubt. So in the end I did not mind giving her $70 000.00 U.S. dollars for getting my Akita (Sato) dog back from her. Originally I told her attorney that she had kidnapped Sato but her attorney told me that an animal was an asset and could not be seen as kidnapped."

She was awarded $70,000.00 from the divorce settlement in condition to Nasser keeping the dog.  This was in 2003; and in general, ex-wife gets half.  That leaves Nasser with $70,000.00 in 2003; and declining in place-winnings (dwindling contracts).  It's now 2008 retired and HUGE, and if the dog survived inhumane neglect, his only other asset is the "Nasser memorabilia (dirty undies)" online merchandise....expences would cover his: homepage, food, steroids, pain-killers, drugs, rent, bus fare to the beach, fold-up chair and cooler.........he's broke bobs!

WOW !! But ..In all honesty..If he had $70,000 for his pup..Money couldn't have been much of an issue .. I'm not a fan of his physique,or him as a person ..But never..ever will I wish misfortune on any man !!

You can post a picture of the eifel tower and claim that it is Nasser's, I still won't believe your claim.  How do we know it's not his parent's retirement care facility?  I would take Nasser's word over yours.

Where, in California?  I'm sure they're doing very well....  how much have values fallen in recent years?  ::)

I'd be very surprised if he's got enough cash flow coming in from rental property to "earn a living".

nasser's ex wife can't be that stupid. If nasser has $2million as some bobos claim, why would she walk out with $70k? That's just 3.5% when she's entitled to get half. Come on!!

Fact is, nasser drives an old toyota, he had enough downpayment to get a mortgage for the house and now he's earning just enough money to carry the mortgage payments by selling DVDs and used clothes.

Could be mortgaged to the hilt, 5% down on one of those sub-prime ARM's everyone was tossing around back then, and now worth 70% of the outstanding loan balance with interest rates about to reset.

Oh yeah...  and what's he doing for income to make the monthly payments?  ::)

Who knows? Schomes like Ron Avidan might be stocking up on soiled posing trunks this year, making it easy to cover his expenses in case of a scenario like you described.

It's retarded to post a picture of "nasser's house" with 2002 date. Nasser divorced in 2003, so he probably lost that house in the process. Yet, it's used as 'evidence' that he owns real estate. HAHA!

Enough is enough..we all know he is broke and angry, even his fans.

It must kill him to see lesser bodybuilders like Milos and Palumbo raking in the dollars as drug nutrition experts.

Look at the evidence:

He has had to retire from bodybuilding because he was getting last place at nothing shows.

he flies economy class (and begs for free airfares)

he moans about petrol and meals he bought 15 years ago.

he moans about not getting enough free weider supps.

he drives a crappy toyota.

his apartment is cheaply and tackily furnished.

he moans that there isn't enough money in bbing.

he sells used clothing.

he is always eating in cheap, budget restaurants and staying in crappy motels.

Yet faced with all this evidence all you get is 'Cali lifestyle..300lbs...abs. ..retired'

He had to retire as he had no career left..hence why he is desperately trying to promote himself and keep his fading name in the limelight. It's really quite sad actually, we should have a save Nasser fund so he doesn't have to offer 'special clothing requests' on his website.

Many wealthy people lives quite frugally. That's not enough to back up the argument that "Natzxar = poor". You can only do this by getting his bank statement.

No but poor people live frugally too. So far I have not seen any evidence to suggest he is anything other than desperately trying to make a bit of money and struggling. There is evidence to suggest this. Just like the people living in shit houses, driving shit cars and flying economy class usually have little funds.

If I see a hobo in the street supping from a wine bottle with holes in his jeans I tend to assume he is down on his luck and not rich..let's see some hard evidence that Nasser is moneyed and not selling clothes to pay the bills. Given the fact that everything about him is cheap and on a budget..why should anyone think he is secretly rich because a guy says 'he's not broke' on the net?

Many wealthy people who live "quite frugally", will not be quite huge with abs at retirement.

If Nasser = gh15 maybe looking poor is just a front for his gear selling enterprise.
