Chest popping

Are any of you guys able to pop your sternum, Ive been able to do it for a few yrs now not whenever i want but when i feel tension in my sternum i can usually get it to pop. just wondering?

i cant just pop it but sometimes when i do my pec flyes my sternum will pop on the first set or so....and for some reason it happens when i use the pec fly machine alot more (which i have stopped using not for that reason but all the same) the onething i wish i could pop is my back...i cant do it my wife pops hers all the time she says it like feels so good but mne just doesnt do it...oh well..

Ya i cant pop mine at will but if i sit in the same position for a little while like if im driving or watching tv and then move it will usually pop

I have the same thing. It's not really a "pop" though.

Sometimes it goes away for a couple of weeks.

agreed, me too.......funny story- my friend was doing bodyweight dips and his chest f*ckin popped loud as sh*t in the middle of a rep..sounded like a shotgun..he was sore for a week or so

Yeah, my chest pops once or twice a day when i stretch it out. It is really loud and people look at me and say "where the hell did that come from?"

Yeah, I do it every 15 minutes or so.  Mine's mostly a cracking and crunching sound though. I only get the really loud pop a few times a week.

it's not necessarily a bad thing that your chest does this..  likely your sterno-clavicular joints or sterno-costal joints are irritated by tight pec muscles pulling the joints close and jamming them up.   Stretch your pecs more, and strengthen your scapula stabilizers.
