Congressional hearings on TV now - steroids and baseball
« on: February 13, 2008, 08:24:58 AM »
What a huge waste of our money!

McNamee, as expected, comes off as half-believable, but what half do you believe??

And thanks to Iran-Contra, "I don't recall" has become a staple in American jurisprudence.  Clemens is having a field day with it!   ;D

He's holding his own.  By being unable to recall specifics, he's doing quite well!   :D

if those needles have hgh and clemens blood in them... it's gonna be hard to deny anything.

Clemens should have just admitted everything, retired, and lived the good life.  Trying to "clear his name and preserve his legacy" when he probably did break the rules is silly.

I guess ppl go thru a lot of work to save face.  Mcgwire was the smart one - "no comment".

Bald faced lying under oath.  His arrogance has put himself in an untenable position of having to deny taking drugs and looking like a complete liar.  Now he has lied under oath and if the US Attorney wants to press the issue he will be going bye bye.  Let's see how arrogant he is then.

LOL... Imagine going to prison because you lied to save face.

not for using the drugs, but for lying to congress.

Clemens is giving them all the fodder they need for a perjury conviction today.

Are you kidding??

The Republicans are killing McNamee, while the Democrats are just flailing against Clemens.

These guys are so delusionally arrogant that they think that if they say something that it will be beleived without question.  The attitude really never ceases to amaze me.  Does he not understand the implications of this?  And why isn't he listening to his lawyer's advice to just stfu.

Conseco lying in Clemons behalf? Why out everyone else and cover up the fact that Roger was at his house for lunch and steroid talks?

Clemens on gas.....biggest joke of the decade. They guy had a pot that hung to the floor and 3 chins. AAS build muscle/burn bodyfat. Regardless, steriods in baseball is ridiculous anyway. Sus 250, deca, winny and HGH all to hit a ball. There is no benefit to a baseball player on gas. It's a hand/eye co-ordination sport. That would be like a billiards player taking gas to sink an 8 ball in the corner pocket. Talk about shooting blanks and a waste of AAS. And for the US government to put something as moronic as steroids in baseball ahead of bigger problems like terrorism, homeland security and getting guns and violence off the street is absolutely ludacris.

Nope, but what about recovery time? or helping a player during the "dog days of August" when their bodies start to supposedly wear down?

Not according to me; according to the data on Clemens' record and similar pitchers.  On the age axis, where Clemens curve achieves a positive convection is [coincidentally] when he was allegedly beginning steroid use.

AAS build muscle and burn fat. They have nothing to do with a players endurance. He doesn't ahve to recover asap. A starting pitcher plays one game out of every 4 on the rotation.

One of them just asked Roger if he was a 'vegan' and Roger was like, "What?"

lol

Congressman Braley (Democrat) is attacking Clemens for his vitamin B12 use and for allowing Brian McNamee to give him a 'chiropractic adjustment' despite not being a licensed chiropractor.
