Phil is great, but he can't beat Dexter yet!

yeah if he did improve his chest and back he'd beat him but those are the two bodyparts Dex destroys him on and Dex's legs are maybe a little better and his arms aren't quite as good as Heath's but not far off.

You forget that bb is not only judged the physique, the head-marketeability is also judged Heath is a pretty guy, dex resembles a magneto mutant. Heath is in favor with the topdogs papa weider and teh corrupt governator.

I think you have to watch some pictures of Dex....then watch the pictures of Heath at the Ironman....and then u can go back change your post

I agree Dex is better. Phil really doesn't have the most pleasing shape mostly due to his large obliques. He still needs to get wider in the back as well. Still if he's 100% and Dex is a little off he'll win. Gustavo or Melvin if they nail their conditioning could also win.

Dex is a finished product who displays himself very well. He like a smaller version of Cormeir nothing stands out but you cant find a flaw on the guy. Heath has amazing arms true wow factor but they make his torso look weak. Heath needs to pay his dues in a major event like the Arnold. My moneys on Dex.

Dex a few years ago would have wiped the floor with Heath...now I'm not so sure. His gut keeps getting more and more distended. Heath is young and still improving...a little too fast I think, but still looks awesome. What Dex still has going for him is his condition and overall symmetry...if he can hold his gut in.

Someone should post pics of when Heath and Dex won Nationals. I still feel that Heath looked his best there, where his arms and delts didn't overpower the rest of his body.

yeah i agree, its the size vs conditioning contest... the arnold has always been on conditioning, phil has larger limbs than dex, but dex might be a bit wider (or at least looks a bit wider than phil)...i dont think phil will win while he is this young, my money is on dex if he brings what he did at last years O then its all his...

What made you change your mind?

Nothing matters until they are side by side. Big questions...

1.) Will Dex improve or look like he has the last 3 years, the same?
2.) Can Phil keep his conditioning or even improve a few %?

no i said WIN at the Ironman, POSSIBLE win at the ASC and i stand by that, Heath is incredible but i still think Dex is still ahead of him at this point.

The consensus on the radio seemed to be that Dex was the man to beat at the Arnold, and that seems accurate. I've been saying for months - Dexter was the rightful mr O - he had the least flaws up there.

With Vic M out of the lineup, he's going to look very complete against heath- who has Ronnie's arms and legs, but a torso along the lines of a middle of the road guy.

If Heath comes in the came or improved the contest is for second place... Anybody that has competed can see that Heath has that "look" that just says game over to the rest of the lineup... You know instantly back stage when its you and you may not want to admit it but you know when its not you... Much respect to Dex... The guy has done TONS with what he has... but Heath is an anomaly...
