Gary Hart went up against Ronald Reagan, who was rhetorically brilliant.

Reagan was a tough opponent. That was the big deal back then.

Politicians can have the best ideas in the world but an inability to communicate those concepts to the people will really hurt.

Some of u don't mind...but I'd like one of these guys to say they are going to start slashing programs because we just can't afford some of the things we are doing. We can't afford universal healthcare unless alot of other reforms are made. I don't like the idea because despite what the libs believe...it will be a disaster.

They passed a law in Britain that made ER wait times shorter....ur ass hits the seat and the clock starts ticking....since there are not enough government doctors..they just couldn't comply. So to get around the law...they have people waiting in Ambulances. I don't want that. We have a problem here with folks waiting in ER's because of all the aliens who abuse the system. Then they gouge the insured to make up for the illiegals. Stop that crap and maybe we can reform the system.

I don't know why everyone still gets hung up over who is going to be elected or not.  Doesn't matter, really.  Universal Healthcare will not happen anytime soon.  We will still maintain a heavy presence in the Middle East.  Immigration will not be fixed.  We will continue to be in a Service Economy dependent on borrowing money from China.  We will not fix our monetary system as the Dollar will continue to decline.  The prison population will continue to rise, both in numbers and percentages.  The faux War on Terror will continue.  Corporate, Identity, and various National lobbying groups will continue to heavily influence and dictate the policies for the US.  Our industrial and manufactoring capacity will be even more gutted as we continue to be outsourced.  Public Education is downright laughable, if it weren't so sad.  Multiculturalism and diversity, for the sole intention of multiculturalism and diversity, will further be implemented in every public and private institution.  Group politics and populism have replaced the rugged individualist American spirit. 

These are things that won't be fixed regardless who pays lip service to the fact that they will.  These things are now a part of our culture...people are simply now accepting that that is they way things go.  Instead of outrage, many just shrug and try to live beside it.

its funny how you guys keep harping on how 'we cant afford his plans' yet seem to have no problems thrwoing away trillions of billions of dollars as well as thousands of lives fighting pointless wars in the middle east.

OBAMA might propose spending alot, but it will all be for positive, progressive things which actually help american people. McCain will spend as JUST AS MUCH or more, but spend it on expanding our middle east quagmire/vietnam-part-2, not on american interests.
