I also don't see why Arnold wouldn't have paid for the airfare.  It's a sentimental thing - is it not worth a few thousand to him?

i agree. they should have

Looks like Nasser made a bigger impact by not showing up at the Arnold Classic.  If more athletes acted like Nasser, then a lot of things would be better in the sport for the athletes.  But they fear too much, even after their retirement.  As long as there is fear among bodybuilders the sport will not grow in a positive direction for the participating athletes.

By not mentioning Nasser's name at the AC line-up of former champions, it was basically acknowledged that Nasser's truthful speaking of this "industry" and its politics is not seen in a positive way but instead as a danger to the "establishment."  This fact is the best indicator for everyone to see that the IFBB is afraid of what Nasser is saying and what he still has to say.

 ::) ::)
Good lord you are delusional. "A bigger impact"? A bigger impact on what exactly? Nasser is a burnt out, bitter, washed up nobody. Period. He has no impact or influence on bodybuilding. Christ, like it was so earth shattering that he wasn't there....who cares.

NAsser's book is going to tell it like it is................for the FIRST time you will get a NO HOLD BARRED insight into the TRUE world of IFBB PRO BB from one of those who there himself, to witness and experience it all

of course it is going to shock people when they learn what the REAL world of the IFBB is like- not the world portrayed in FLex magazines

The real joke would have been the 2 hrs it would have taken for Nasser to waddle on stage. Mr 300lbs with flab is no spring chicken at a young 43

Pity Nasser wasnt there. Arnold could have done an entire comedy routine on Nasser alone.

"Where's Nasser?? He's outside hawking his used clothes. Don't panic - the decontamination team is on its way?  ;D

I think he looked great maybe not as great as the two times he clearly beat the convicted racist Yates but still superb.

I met Nassar a few times... no joke... One time he was passing out trophies at this contest that someone who is not me won... While standing on the stage he tells that dude... You have good genetics... All you need now is to increase the drugs... Call me a liar or whatever... but I REALLY trust this guy and I KNOW he would not lie to me... ;) And I have nothing against Nassar.. I think he was incredible... And based on the MAJOR improvements he made in a VERY short span during his early pro career.. I think he had his "formula" pretty much down to a science... Dont get me wrong... Again... I think he was incredible...

HAHAHAHA!
The ASC dropped Nasser.  No formal invitation, and no mention of his name at the ASC past winners presentation.  And, the 5th interview will never be aired.  The truth is "never bite the hand that feeds you".  Nasser was not missed at the ASC.

At the height of his career with the drugs, he was a bodybuilder.  At retirement he's a bellybuilder.  haha!

Yep, but only on Getbig. I doubt anyone in the audience even remembered.

As his expenses were not paid for I can see why Nasser would not attend.

But I think it is unreasonable to expect this. That money is better spent on paying competitor expenses, anyway.

Mr Schwarzenegger if you wanted all the past winners at your show then take you fingers out of your pockets and fly them there and provide first class accommodation. Surely you have some left over from all your facelifts and plastic surgery bills?

What a joke. Nasser was on fire the year he won. From 96-2001 Nasser simply had the best combination of size and aesthetics.

What an insult to the fans that the greatest ever Arnold winner wasn't properly encouraged to attend.

The show is getting worse and worse. Fucking joke.

Unlike the other ASC past winners on stage, Nasser did not get a formal invitation, or an invitation.  He was not mentioned in the video montage and stage presentation.  ASC disregarded Nasser as past ASC winner.

It's not about the cost of airfare and accommodation; it's about the integrity of the athlete to the safety of the industry and his/her peers.  Nasser is basically giving a bad name to the industry, now that he's retired?  ::)  Events like the ASC and the Olympia is affected by the accusations whether they are truthful or not.  Many of the product sponsors, who support these events are affected as well.

Like I said "inviting Nasser will be like inviting a disgruntled ex-postoffice employee to the company x-mas party".  It's a conflict of interrest and will jeopardize everyone's safety.

Yeah, telling the truth does damage professional bodybuilding. Wipe those informers out! Dr S will maintain the Ben dictatorship.

How can Arnold have a bawdybuilding show in his name and not test for illegal drugs? Seems to me he is getting special privileges here. The slight to Nasser is lamentable. Even Arnold cannot rewrite bodybuilding history.

Zabo said there is no pot of gold in bodybuilding and for the vast majority that is still true. Those who do sniff some gold have to do so on all fours!

Hmmm...he's married to a Kennedy, and is a Governor.  The man can pull strings....if he really wants to.  Nasser is casualty and is disposable to Arnold. Remember it's Arnold's event.  He can cry if he wants to...cry if he wants to......
